Perfect Orchid Potting Mix
I acquired an orchid that needed re-potting and like how the Miracle-Gro potting mix works so well. It has a blend of sizes of the bark like mix and easy to re-pot. I removed all the mix and cleaned the clumps from the roots, added the new potting mix to the pot then put in my orchid, adding more potting mix. I am pleased with this product and Scott's products in general. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/03/2021not as expectedI bought this product because it says it is a coarse blend, but there is a more fine dirt-like substance in it than bark. I am very disappointed in this bag of orchid mix.Susan

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/19/2021Full of larvaWhen I was repotting my orchid I noticed the dirt had a couple of flies, but I didn't think it would be a big problem. A week later the plan was INFESTED with flies. I checked the dirt bag and sure enough it was full of flies. I even bought insecticide and there still flies. The dirt bag was full of larva.Orchid36

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/15/2021Buyer beware: fungus gnats and mould! When I opened the bag some fungus gnats and a pungent mushroomy smell flew out. On inspection the mix has mould and smells very bad. Now I have fungus gnats to deal with and nothing I actually want to repot my orchids into. I don't feel I can return this especially considering Covid-19 restrictions, so I'm left out of pocket and frustrated!louliebella

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/22/2020Not much bark but I got a boltI have been repotting my orchids using this mix. When I got to the last third of the bag, something went clunk. A rusty bolt was in the bag. Not sure I'd buy this again. I question their quality controlSdbeth

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/11/2020Never AgainI bought this about two months ago to repot my three orchids. I repotted them and had a major infestation of little black flying bugs. I just figured it was a fluke and killed then as I could. I went and got a new orchid that I needed to repot. I pulled out the bag and it was packed full of the same bugs. I dumped it in a box to try to get rid of them. Finally decided to go and buy a different brand and I have now repotted all of them in Better-Gro orchid mix. This miracle gro mix is going on the garbage. A waste of good money!!!Sabby

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/01/2016For great orchidsThe potting mix is perfect for repotting orchids as they are different from other flowers. They can't use regular potting soil.athenon61
