If you get pop ups that state a product is not sold at your local Walmart stores, look anyway. I don't know why I get popups on this product relaying that it is not available in stores in my 50 mile radius....because it is. I purchased two at the local Walmart in Huntingdon, TN about ten miles from my house. It was $0.54 cents and I purchased two. I can't believe how expensive the name brand table salt we grew up with, is. Very ridiculous prices for Morton salts. Great Value salt is just as good if not better and the price is very fair and economical.

Salted and it feels so good
What's not to like. I hate the salt containers but hey. It's cheap salt and well it has so many household uses.

It is salt, but I use another container
It's salty... the package though is not so great as I was in a bit of a hurry and was not able to open it up properly and ended up sticking a knife through the top. Actually, as far as I remember I could not even open it the correct way when I got more time at hand. Anyway I poured some of it in a more convenient and handy container for daily use.

    Why so many ingredients? :(
OK. It's salty. It's cheap. But I'll never buy it again. Why not? Additives! I know what the potassium iodide is for- iodine. Duh. The sodium silicoaluminate is to prevent clumping- although the aluminum isn't particularly good for you. It's the other 2 ingredients that seem to have no business being there, so- What I want to know is: Why the heck is there dextrose (a sugar) and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda!) in the salt??

    Crap packaging
Metal Spicket busted trying to open. Will not buy again for pasta water seasoning or meat tenderizing. Will pay an extra $1.50 for a better conveyance while cooking.

I'm using salt and vinegar to kill weeds in my driveway. Works well.

    Salt is fine …. :). the labels aren't :(
I needed iodized salt so I ordered 2 containers of great value iodized salt. The only problem I have is that both labels had fallen off by the time I picked up my order. Just found it unusual

    Good basic salt
Good basic salt. I use it for my shakers. The pink salt I use for cooking is too fine in the shakers.

I use this cheap salt for my home made weed killer. I give the low rating because this items (6 units) arrived crushed and the sides broken. Bad way to package and handling.

Google iodized salt benefits and you'll want this
The reason why salt harm so many people is because it lacks the Iodine. This is the part the body need for a lot of different benefits. This salt covers what is needed in salt.

    Great taste and great price!
I decided to give the Great Value salt a try to save some money. I am so glad I did because I couldn't tell the difference between this and the name brand! I highly recommend this for quality and price difference!
