Great beginner drone.
Great beginner drone. Getting the hand eye cordination was a little confusing at first but once i got the hang of it , it flew beautifully. The app companion really enchanched the experience with being able to take pictures

Big nope.
Bought for my son for Christmas. As soon as it was calibrated (by an adult), the remote went haywire and it flew off, never to be found. Super fun waste of money. I can't exchange for a non-possessed drone since I don't have anything to physically exchange except a box

Budget friendly,Ok. Photography worthy was unsat.
The price was reasonable. You get what you paid for, one battery, 10-15 minute flight, poor camera quality and it has a mind of its own when landing. Would recommend for a budget beginner to learn basics. I was depending on photo quality. I should've paid more for a higher quality. I experimented and mounted a cell phone that I could control from the ground and the camera shots were better. Average rating for average product, I was expecting more from Avitar.

Our grandson will be elated Christmas morning
We got this as a Christmas gift for one of our grandsons but wanted to take it for a test run ahead of time so as not to disappoint. All I can say is WOW. It is much larger and sturdier than expected. The directions are easy to follow and assembly when smoothly. It is responsive to the remote control and fairly easy to get the hang of. Then grandma had to wrestle it back from grandpa to put it back in the box to be wrapped. We can't wait to see our grandson's joy on Christmas morning.

    Great Drone
I'm quite happy with this purchase. I primarily bought this drone to inspect my roof and gutters since my house is multiple stories. I was able to see everything clearly thanks to the camera on this drone. Once I got the hang of flying it, it was actually quite fun to just fly it around.

    Amazing Drone
Great drone!! Gift for my son. He said it was easily set-up, instruction were clear and had it flying in no time. Connected to his phone and enjoyed watching. This is the second drone he has owned and said this one is much easier to use and much nicer. Great gift idea for Christmas!

    Nice drone
After having this item for a few days and working to get through the instructions, watching videos, and just basically flying around and I can say this drone is good for the price. I found the picture quality to be decent. It is not for beginners unless they have experienced help. Unless you are a drone specialist you will crash (more than once), but you can get the hang of it and it's really cool to be able to see things from above.

    Bigger than expected
This drone is amazing, I love that it can pair with my phone in order to view a live feed from the camera. once fully assembled it is definitely a lot bigger than I expected. instructions are so easy to follow for preflight, and once you've got it going, enjoyable for the whole family. my kids loved watching it fly around and view what it was capturing on camera

why won't they fix the issue
great flying drone one major setback app will not open therefore many features can be used without the app I've sent feedback and they've done nothing about it without the app you can't operate the camera and many of the GPS features so useless with a great flying Drone

Good drone BAD CAMERA bad instructions
NEED BETTER INSTRUCTIONS. We watched your VIVITAR instruction video on this drone but you did not demonstrate how to take off. You showed ho to calibrate it but no how to get it off the ground. Your video is lacking ,make a better one so we can fly it.

If Your Having Trouble Read Review
This drone instructions are ok but look on u-tube to help. If using I-phone there was a update for beginners like me. Download app for phone. 1 thing they don't tell you is turn drone then controller on push up then down it beeps all lights on drone blink - use I-phone settings YIFI settings connect to phone. push remotes top right button it beeps for GPS landing location spin until red lights stay on then lift turn right to left othere light stays on. then go to app on I-phone hit start then camara comes on to phone. don't for get to pull both controll levers down to left before taking off or you will have problems. push up drone comes on then your ready. Took me a few times but works great hovers in small wind. You can fly it with your phone but i would use the remote. Uses lots of battery on phone and my phone died fully charged and drones falls. I only was up 2 feet testing. Any how great drone got vedios and phones of my house. Can't beat Blace Friday 69 bucks deal.

Needs help, but does what it says. Mostly.
It does what it says. GPS on mine works well. However--- a few issues. Nuber one: Ity does NOT fly anywhere near 12 minutes! I have 4 batteries, and not one of them will fly it more than about 5 to 6 minutes, So I will say 5.5 average. This will be an issue especially if you only have one battery. This drone takes exactly the same battery as the Promark Warrior. Exactly. This drone is a virtual clone of the Promark, but with GPS. I do not know why the flight time is cut in half. Props and batteries interchange, as do the landing legs, and I suspect, other parts as well. Phone holder! Beware... the springs are poorly designed, as are the spring posts, and on day two, mine let my cell fall out, and it shattered the glass. I ended up making a sun shade that holds the cell phone with rubber bands. It's ugly but works. It is locked to no more than 165 feet altitude, and I have no idea why, or how to get around it. It seems to be in the software, (App) Also, I have a Windows tablet I planned to use. Nope! App is Android or I os only. No Windows version. Another serious flaw... Camera mount. They went to the trouble of adding rubber vibration dampers, a good touch, then made the holder so badly, it will NOT keep camera from flopping about up and down as it pleases. I mean, why bother with the rubber dampers?? I had to use a pipe cleaner to aim camera horizontally or point downwards. Unlike the Promark, there is no way for aiming camera while in flight. I have to bring it down, bend the pipe cleaner to get the aim I want, then go back up. By then, it will be outta juice. And when it decides to autoland... it takes control away, scaring the crap outta you. The data on screen is nice, IF I could see it! There is too much clutter, and they try cramming too much in, that isn't needed. I mean, I know where I am. I don't NEED my latitude and longitude. What I NEED is a better battery warning! I would like to see how many satellites I am locked onto,m but that's not real important. The App needs help. A Windows version would be good. Better explanation in the instruction booklet on what all the symbols are and how to use them would be good. At least it was in English. It's weak on instructions though... And WHY oh WHY can't I get up to more than 165 feet?? There is no mention anywhere about this. I will give points for the GPS, and WiFi. My cell locks on well. The GPS works. For a Black Friday sale, it''s worth what I gave. Just ... and no more. It is selling now for $129.00, and that's too much. Maybe if they included extra batteries... and a balanced charger. And better instructions. It flies strongly, and stays on station in a breeze well enough, but at the cost of battery time. The Camera: It claims HD. It ain't folks. There is no mention of actual pixels or lines of resolution. I don't know what it is, I would guess about .3 megapixels. The rolling shutter issue is obvious too. (Video wavering up and down in time with props) Whatever it is HD is NOT what I would call it. It's OK for a new hobbyist and playing around, seeing what home looks like from the air, albeit, only 165 feet. It is NOT Pro quality in any way shape or form. I mean, come on, a pipe cleaner as high tech aiming device??

    Good Drone, Lousy Camera
This Vivitar Drone is a great Flyer. I got mine in the Longview, Washington Walmart location. the unit was new. Defiantly not for beginners. Calibration is easy just by fallowing the steps in the guide. The Bright LEDs are great for day and night and you can charge the drone with out removing the battery, just open the plug Port and connect to the the white plug. The drone is powerful The Camera how ever SUCKS! I am not sure what Vivitar did, but it definitely is the worst 720p I have ever seen in my life. The charger will operate the camera as it charges
