Diet 7Up clone
This is a really good copy of diet 7UP. It tastes much better than the Diet Spurt, which is a clone of diet Sprite (not sure why). Defintely get this, and not the Spurt. Shipping is expensive on these items due to weight, but there are no other good sources that I know of for these products. Be sure to check your local Sams Club to see what they have in stock before you pay for shipping. Our local store never has these generics in stock, so I order them online.

I really wanted to like this...
I am a big fan of the name brand Diet ___ Dew product and was excited to get it installed on my fountain. I really, really, wanted to like this but it tastes horrible. I double-checked the mix ratio three times, sure that I had something wrong. But alas, it just turns out that this doesn't taste anything like the name-brand diet Pepsico drink. It tastes a lot more like Squirt than it does Mountain Dew.

I shop Walmart- I like Walmart.
How much money they will be saving by setting up their own CO2 system with DRINKMATE and not going to the store all the time to buy soda or other carbonated beverages. Please do not discontinue this item. Thank you.

too diluted to be used as soda stream syrup
too diluted. I bought this along with a threaded spigot to use with my sodas stream. The amount of syrup is nowhere near one to one, more like 4 to one to the soda stream syrup and even then it doesn't taste right.

    Doesn't taste like DEW
It's not bad, but it doesn't taste like DEW at all .

Not a substitute for Mt. Dew
The taste is more lemony than anything. It's like Mt. Dew watered down with a lemon-lime soda. It's not unpleasant; but it's not anything like Mt. Dew, if that's what you're seeking.

    My recipe
I bought this for use with my SodaStream. If you go off the recommended ratio, it really tastes nothing like Diet Mountain Dew. I wanted to get it close, so I did some tweaking and came up with this recipe. For 16 ounces 1/8 cup Diet Dew Point Syrup 2 packets of Equal (blue packets) 1/8 tsp potassium citrate powder 1/8 tsp ascorbic acid powder (vitamin C) 1/16 tsp true lime powder Add all ingredients first, then add the seltzer water Not only does this taste amazing and very close to Diet Mountain Dew, but it has an excellent source of potassium and vitamin C

Exactly what I needed. If you carried it in the 1 Gallon bags you would get 5 stars.

    Excellent drink!
I use this with the soda stream. I add a little citric acid to give it more of a bite. This takes the place of the diet fountain mist. I think this is better.

    Great Product - Great Taste
I was a little nervous buying this product considering I decided to buy the 3 gallon versus 1 gallon. After finding what the proper ratio is this is great. It is close if not better I'm finding. I have drank Diet Mt. Dew and is my favorite soda (pop) drink. You mix 4/5 water - 1/5 Soda. That's what the directions say and what I find is great. Depending on your liking you may want to increase/decrease that ratio a little. I will continue to buy this. I'm saving money. Oh, by the way, I use a sodastream carbonator with this. I also purchased a BIB Tap Valve for Bag-in-Box Syrups so you can pour out the syrup into the bottle after carbonating. I will continue to purchase this. Thanks!
