Fantastic Movie!!!!
This is my all time favorite movie. I am not a fan of whoopie, however, she knocked it out of the ball park in this movie, along with Danny Glover.. I have watched it over 20 times since it came out, and I love it more each time.

The entire case was broken. it looked like someone took it and broke the front side in half. when i recieved it I thought that maybe the mailperson bent it but then i opened it and i could see that it was broken before it was sent.

    Can't return the second one.
    Bought the original dvd, froze. It was replaced by Walmart, froze in exactly the same place. Can't move forward or backwards. DO NOT BUY THIS DVD...............Not even worth one star.

    Awesome!
    I love this movie! The reviewers that say it's half a movie do not realize you have to flip the disc over. That's a little annoying but an excellent movie for $5 ... Can't really complain because it's still an awesome deal!

    This is the second time I ordered this movie and both times it only played half of the movie. I thought the second time would be different but I was saddly mistaken.

    Not what I expected at all!
    I ordered a copy for myself and 1 to give my mom for Christmas. I was so disappointed to know that the entire movie does not play all the way through. Halfway through, you have to turn the disc over to the other side to continue playing it. I wish that in the description of the product that they would let people know that there's a "Side A" and a "Side B" to watch the movie. On side B, I could'nt pause, stop, rewind, or fast forward, so think twice before ordering! It may be worth the extra money to just find the movie somewhere else!

    The Color Purple is a great movie. I only gave this 2 stars because I believe the CD is damaged it was not complete the movie was not completely on the CD. I may return it.

    Great movie, it would be great if the whole movie was on one side of the disc instead of 2, having to flip it over just to watch the second have of the movie is not convenient. I am glad though that it is actually formatted in full frame.

    This dvd was the worst I have ever brought. I got have way through the movie and it stopped. There was only half of the movie on the dvd. I would not recommend this movie.
