Easy to put together
Picture directions made it easier for me to put together. Some I had to think about but still easy. Just what I wanted near my computer with important papers in one drawer and room for pens, staplers, notebook for budgeting and other desk supplies in other 2 drawers. Love it.

Just got this item, Quality? Cheap creepy wood, the color on it is not paint acutally, is plastic copied on it and the worst part, the lock of it does not work correctly, assimbly? took us the whole day to get it done.

    Many defective parts. Lacks quality workmanship
    Buyer beware! Unless you don't mind defective parts, beware of buying the cabinet. It arrived with parts that were clearly defective from the source manufacturer (China). I had a total of 4 - 6 parts with defects. When I contacted RTA Products to file a claim for replacement parts, they were very friendly, but it took a week to get the parts. So I could not build the cabinet until I got replacement parts. When they arrived, I think about half of them were also defective, and some worse than the originals. So I decided to go ahead and build it with the best of the parts from the original shipment and the replacements. But one of the drawer handles and one of the drawer fronts still needed to be replaced, so they sent a second replacement shipment. The second replacement shipment contained defective parts also. Many of the defect issues are related to the veneer finish. Other defects were chipped corners. I will admit that SOME of the defects are in less conspicuous areas. As for the drawer handle, the first one would not engage with the screw that holds it on. The replacement they sent did not have a complete finish, so couple spots on it were dull. When I pay $73 for a new cabinet, I expect new looking parts, not defective ones. You would expect that when the warehouse pulls replacement parts to send to you, that they would carefully inspect them for defects before sending you more defective parts, but they did not. The instructions were mostly wordless (pictures only) and were not so easy to follow. I think it took me about 3 hours to build. When you open the second drawer, it makes a rattling noise from the metal hardware used for the locking mechanism, so I had to mickey mouse it by putting some stuffing behind the metal side bar to stop it from making a cheap rattling noise. Therefore, I would not recommend this product.

    a nightmare to assemble
    The wood tone is a plastic shrink wrap of sorts which conforms over every hole and track. Because of this each one had to be cut out in order to assemble the pieces. Many pieces were marked wrong (left should have been right, etc.). It matches my Techni Mobili mahogany desk which makes me happy.

    Compare Value with other small rolling cabinets
    It took me about 2 hours to put this together, but all the hardware and two small tools came included in the box and I made sure to study the plans before attempting to construct, be patient. What got me to buy this was that, I loved the price compared to other rolling cabinets, and this one came on top choice for its features. When I finished constructing the unit it looked great under my desk, wow. It comes with two keys and locks up completely. I showed it to my family when its was finished and we all agreed that it is a good looking piece of furniture. My only complaint is that the wheels are plastic, otherwise its worth the money.

    Great File Cabinet
    I love this file cabinet. It is very sturdy, has lots of room for all my important paperwork that I need to keep private & locked up. I use this for tax paperwork, bank statements & any other important paperwork. Thank you Walmart for having this product available while I was looking for a file cabinet. I bought it in the Espresso color.

    Nice cabinet
    This is a realy nice cabinet. the drawer slides are smooth as silk. and looks good in my living room. The only problem was the slots and screw holes are partialy covered by the finish spray. I used my knife to clear the slots and holes and then assy became a snap. I like it!

    Has Potential, but...
    NEEDS ASSEMBLY!! And the assembly was NOT simple. It took hours!! Then we finally got this thing together, and the LOCKING mechanism doesn't work - which is the reason we bought this in the first place...It will work, however, with LOTS and lots of fiddling with the lock, however. Who wants to do that every time? The middle drawer gets stuck, so we have to FORCE it open and then SHOVE it closed EVERY time. If we hadn't gone through all of that trouble assembling this thing for so many hours, we'd have returned it for one that worked; but we weren't going to go through THAT again!! Also - the weird little front wheel is unattractive, but whatever. And we had a contractor and an engineer assembling this thing, so it's not because we didn't know what we were doing. The parts just weren't "right"... I actually think that if the assemby wasn't so difficult and that if it was working properly after all that trouble, it might've been worth all of the aggravation because it's a nice piece, otherwise. It just needs tweaking. ;)

    Not What Hoped For
    Putting together was a chore. Lots of assembly time! Biggest disappointment is the file drawer will not hold legal size files! Had to readjust to fit letter size files. Dimensions listed indicate legal size files should fit. Should state for letter size files only. Also, after organizing file folders and putting them in the drawer, found that the middle tab on the files is too high for the drawer to open/close due to the curved design of the middle drawer! Had to move all the center tabs to the sides to open and close the drawer. Not well designed.
