Terrible Purchase
Constant disconnects. It's range is abysmal. Can't get more than 10 feet from it without completely losing the signal. Garbage router. Do not purchase.

    Faster is better
I finally got help with setting this up. The diections were a little confusing because wr over looked the first page thing thinking we can just choose step 1 or 2. After figuring it out it was very simple to set up. Don't panic it does take a minute after all steps have been completed to actually connect. We have several gaming systems, tablets and laptops in our home so this is perfect for them to switch over to as well and get off the actual server.

    Great router for dependable connections
My previous router was fairly new but was only a two stream. I was having problems with using two or more devices at once for things like streaming and going online. So I got the Archer AX1800 4-stream dual-band router. This one has the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology and that gives you really fast 4K/HD streaming and gaming with Wifi speeds up to 1.8 Gbps. Since we stream our TV from various apps as well as playing games and getting news and weather online, this Archer AX1800 lets my family use even more devices by minimizing network congestion that occurs with too many connected devices. It has a quad core processor that easily handles bandwidth those intensive activities to give superior performance. It was very easy to set up, using the directions and video and we set it up quickly with the Tether app. This Archer AX1800 uses Beamforming technology and 4 antennas to send WiFi signals to your devices, even those further away for more reliable coverage. And it works with all previous WiFi standards and all WiFi enabled devices. I am very happy with this router, and it is working very well for me. I would recommend it to my family and friends.

Super EASY set up! Thank Goodness
It's been about four years since I upgraded. I was using an older version of Netgear which was OK however buffering started to become an issue and now we are streaming much more. My home is about 900 sq living space so it is fairly small however we have four TVs streaming, four laptops, three tablets and four phones. We also have Roku, Netflix, Fire stick, Prime Video Ana several other streaming networks. I am NOT at Techie but my husband is AWFUL at technology so that leaves me to figure things out. Therefore I am a little intimidated when installing new devices. I was sooo relieved because directions were simple, app was easy to use and if you have very basic tv, phone and computer skills then you will be success in installing. I would say make sure you install the app on your phone first. I ran into a slight delay with getting the internet to work properly but that was because I had not completed the install of the app and registration of product in my phone. App is easy to use and you can manage everything at your fingertips. So far we have had zero issues with streaming or buffering even when Multiple TVs are in use.

    Easy and Fast To Setup!
Pros: easy to set up, fast setup, two networks, app setup, fast internet, four ports, USB option Cons: none The TP-Link AX1800 WiFi-6 Router is really great! It's very easy to set up, and it works well. This router comes with everything you need to get started. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. The quick start guide walks you through connecting the hardware to your existing modem and powering it up. The network setup was extremely easy using the TP-Link Tether App on my phone. It was easy to find and very user friendly and helpful. It walked me though the entire setup, including naming the network and setting up passwords for both 2.4 and 5G networks. The whole process took about 10 minutes from connecting the hardware to setting up the networks via the app. I did not run into any issues along the way, everything worked seamlessly with my old router. The router itself functions great. My internet connection has been seamless and uninterrupted. There hasn't been any lag or any other weird issues with connecting or dropping the internet. It's also very easy to connect to both networks wirelessly as well as hard wiring devices directly to the router using the password I created. All in all, this is a really great router! This router is fast and easy to set up. It works really well. There isn't any lag or disconnections. I'm so happy with the quality of this router and how well it works. I would absolutely recommend it.

    Great performance - price ratio
This is my second acquisition of a TP-Link router. My current router is an Archer C9, which is still in use after many years. I have had no problems with this router over that time. I find that these TP-Link routers are the best of affordability and performance. Sure, you may not get the performance of a router costing twice the price, but I find that the performance is quite adequate for a typical home. I thought about using this as a second router to provide a second network for security purposes. By having a second network, I can have friends who are in my house wanting to connect to the network use the second router. That way they don't have access to my main network. Or, if I need to check out a person's computer and I do not know if there might be malware on the computer, I can connect it to the Internet without worrying about any access by the malware to my main network. But then I saw an option in the router software to use something called access mode. This allows you to add wireless capability at a remote location. You still need to hook this router to your main router via an Ethernet cable, however. Then you can use guest mode for friends or when you want to prevent access to the main network. For the price, this seems to be an impressive router. It sports a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU and four fixed Omni-directional antennas, which support beamforming technology to focus signal strength for your devices. Beamforming is a technique that focuses the wireless signal toward a specific receiving device. It also supports the latest Wi-Fi 6 technology, which uses something called OFDMA technology to communicate more data to more devices at the same time. OFDMA allows one transmission to deliver data to multiple devices at one time. Of course, your devices must support the standard. If not, hey you're future proof. This standard becomes important as you connect more devices to the network. You also can set up the router using the Tether app for smartphones. I did not try out this option as I did not need this feature. The theoretical claimed speeds are 1200 Mbps on 5GHz and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. Your actual throughput will, of course, be less and will depend on obstacles between you and the router, and on the distance from the router.

    Awesome router!
The Archer AX 1800 router was very easy to set up with clear instructions. I love this router! it definitely did speed up my connections. I have a mixture of wired and wireless so having a router that can make fast connection is a must for me and my family. With little or no buffering it was easier to watch my movies and my face time hookups. Very well made and I am over all pleased with this product.

Looks Great! Fastest Speeds! Average range.
I really wanted to love this router! I do IT work for a local University, so I am very familiar with router set-up and performance. I am a huge fan of antennas and think the industry did itself a disservice years ago with a more streamlined look at the cost of signal range... Luckily that trend is over and with its demise, in most cases, coverage area has increased. Unfortunately, that is not the case with this product. Pros: 1. Easy, straightforward setup via the app (the Ethernet interface is more robust if needed) 2. Highest speed connection standard is available on this model which currently is 802.11ac. The box claims AX compatibility at 1.8 Gbps, but I don't have a device to test this? 3. On the LAN side it features Gigabit connection speeds which are top of the line 4. The look and build quality are excellent right down to the packaging and static protection film 5. Every port is clearly labeled and color coded Cons: 1. It took longer to get the plastic film off the antennas then to hook it up and get it running 2. The range is just average. My current setup can easily cover the entire perimeter of my house, garage and back yard. I have Wi-Fi security cameras and a Wi-Fi enabled garage door opener so this is critical. I set this unit up in the exact same location, the basement of a walk-out basement home and lost one security camera and our garage door opener from my network. I realize that this problem could probably be remedied by moving the router upstairs, but I don't feel like pulling wire and messing with it as my current router has worked great in this location for years. If you are not concerned about a very large coverage area this is a great choice. It is Easy to configure and offers the highest speeds currently available. It just couldn't do the job that I needed it to do in my current situation

    WIFI Coverage is Unbelievably Good
Initial setup of the AX1800 is well explained in the Startup Instructions provided in the box. These instructions are accurate, concise and very easy to understand and follow. I tried both methods described in these instructions and found that both worked equally well and were easy to accomplish. The AX1800 almost did its own setup, it was that easy. WIFI Security is as good as it can be with today's technology. The physical appearance of the AX1800 is attractive and functional. The AX1800 is sturdy and of high quality. I expect to receive years of trouble-free use of this Wireless Router. To test the AX1800 I set my lap to stream a video. I also at the same time set my tablet to stream a video. Then I walked with the streaming tablet from room to room looking for video breakup or other artifacts. None occurred. In the room furthest from the Wireless Router I turned off the tablet WIFI connection. Then I re-acquired internet connection on the tablet. Then I again started video streaming with no issues. The results that I obtained using the Archer AX1800 Wireless Router far exceeds the results obtained by any of my previous Wireless Routers.

    Haven't had very long
but this seems to be an excellent router. I installed this router in my home network replacing a TP-Link Archer AC1750 model. The AC1750 is also an excellent router so I saw no major change in router performance after switching to the AX1800. I would estimate the two router models to be near equal in terms of speeds attained, both proved to get about all that is possible out of my internet connection speed wise. I have noticed that my smart TVs seem to be more solidly locked into the wi-fi signals from the AX1800. Losing network connection has so far not happened at all whereas at least one of the smart TVs would have lost connection if still using the AC1750. The AX1800 only gets mildly warm to the touch whereas most other routers I have used get quite warm in the same location. Less heat generation and better heat dissipation should provide longer component life. Setup of this AX1800 was as easy as it gets with a wireless router. Simply connect per the guidance provided in the quick installation guide and you will be on your way to cyberspace. Configuring the router for my network was painless. I accessed the router using my browser interface. I then only needed to create a router password, name my network, and set a network password for security. Windows 10 Pro then saw the router as a new network, so both wired and wireless connections had to be approved and/or reconnected. Total time to connect all 4 computers was less than 10 minutes. The smart TVs took longer only because of the slowness of adding the password via their on-screen texting methods. The AX1800 is a bit wider than most other routers I've owned at 10.3". The depth of the unit is just a bit over 6" including the antenna projections from the rear. The height of the unit (not counting the 4 antennas) is about 1.5". The antennas positioned to the vertical add roughly 5" to the height. Something I definitely like on the AX1800 is that the indicating lights of the front do not constantly blink, they are a pleasant green during normal operation and stay lit in use. Flashing LEDs are a bit of a problem for any device located in a bedroom as this one is. All in all, this router is so far an excellent product.
