Lightweight but flimsy
Disappointed that the sides and top could so easily be taken apart - would be easy to break into and the lock wouldn't stop that.

    It's not thick plastic so it is not sturdy and hard to open drawers once you put files in it.

    Impractical for regular use
    Would be useful for long term storage but if you are looking for something that allows you to load it with files and access them an a regular basis, this is not for you. Once loaded with files the drawers are difficult to pull out. Many times I felt the drawer pulls might snap just opening it as it doesn't have slides, the whole thing drags on itself. As the unit is square, it will topple over very easily with a drawer open more than halfway. It was an unusable product for me as I am in and out of the drawers daily. Really the only use I could see for this would be to load it up and forget it. Long term storage only and deal with the frustration of use maybe a couple times a year. Other than that, avoid this product.

    Not bad for a plastic cabinet
    One of the best of the inexpensive filing cabinets. Pros: Light and easy to assemble; sturdy, for a plastic cabinet; drawers function well. Cons: Light weight means easier to tip forward when a full top drawer is all the way out; plastic is vulnerable to damage in shipping. Ours was cracked on top, though still fully functional.

    I returned this item. It was not as heavy-duty as the other Storex cabinets I have purchased. It felt flimsy and also did not hold enough to warrant the high price. I did not believe it would stand up to any kind of continuous use.

    Suited to our needs
    This unit is light weight and easily moves around on bare floor and level loop carpet with no problem. Needed it to hold sheet music for our troupe and does the job nicely. The only problem was that they put the wrong lock in one of the drawers so key will not fit, but since we are not interested in this feature we will not be returning it. The product arrived assembled except for the wheels which attached easily. Very sturdy and love the color ... better looking and more stylish than black model.

    Lightweight but so so build quality
    Arrived scratched and with a broken plastic piece. Still functional but did not get a "new product" feel from it. Works normally but did not feel sturdy. If you load up only one drawer and open it, the unit tips forward...careful with your toes ! Considering returning this plastic filing cabinet. For what you get in terms of build quality and uusability, it seems pricey.

    Does the job... sort of...
    If you need a file cabinet to hold some files in one place, this will do the job. It's light (when it's empty that is) so it's easy to move around. Don't expect it to actually protect anything you lock in though, because anybody with average strength can easily tear it open with their bare hands. In fact, you will accidentally break it if you try to lift it pulling on the wrong spot. In the end I found a metal cabinet in store at Walmart that is only $15 more, and much better value for money.

    If you're looking for a filing cabinet to hold and keep your household (important) documents, this is it. But, consider that it is not fire proof, or very solid (since its made of plastic). The locking system, though practical, is not very strong. Wouldn't use this in a professional office setting.
