    I bought these as a complete newbie to knitting. I've crocheted for years and finally decided to try my hand at knitting. I found these needles to be too "slippery" to work with though as a beginner. As I'm learning how to hold the needles and how to work the thread I feel like these make it more difficult. I ordered a set of bamboo ones and will try my hand at those and see if there is a difference.
