Cute Kit
This is a very cute science kit for my 7year old son. He already had the kit "My First Mind Blowing Science Experiment" so he was already familiar with the ingredients. The kit is for 6plus so its pretty easy for him to read. I like the different changing spells and the warning signs on the box is clear and direct. But with only 9 activities, I was hoping for a little more for the price. My son and husband did enjoy doing the experiments so that's what really count. My son says he would definitely recommend to others and he gave it two thumbs up.

Interesting but a little dispointed
This game is quite interesting and made my son learn experimenting chemistry. I wish they made a DVD video and give us some better advice. Or if they can't make videos, which is easily possible nowadays, at least they could put some pictures of the experiment. Due to review time reporting, we only had the chance to do the Magic Wand experiment and the Magic Hat, which we didn't even know it was an experiment until I wrote this review. Here is the list of available experiments in the instruction book: - Wizard Wand - Magic Hat - Fizzy Frenzy - Hocus Pocus Powder - Frothing Color-Changing Potion - Test Tube Crystal Ball - Magic Wand Lava - Feverish Fizz - Glow-In-The-Dark Bubbling Potion The magic hat experiment was just a purple paper and star stickers to put on the hat. I wished there were a message on the purple paper saying that it was for the hat and the same for the stickers paper or put the Magic Hat as the first experiment. The magic wand experiment was to mix blue and red color but they tell you to fill the whole tube and put blue and red color tablets. The result was disappointing, it was a dark blueish color and it doesn't even glitter. Unfortunately I found out that: - You don't need to fill the whole tube with water - You need way more than a teaspoon (around 4 teaspoons) of Cross-Linked Polyacrylate Copolymer to fill the magic wand - And especially you don't need to use the two whole color tablets, just scratch the color tablets a little bit is way enough. I did another experiment with all three available colors Yellow, Blue and Red later. And it was way better looking, I only used some tiny little scraps of color and it was glittering. I'm pretty sure that all other experiments will be similar where I will find out that I have to redo it with the right ingredient proportions in case I want better results and if I need to do other experiments, I might have to buy more ingredients.

    One time product
This is a one time use product. It's not like a game that can be played with time and time again. After saying that, the product was a great science experiment experience for children and my children loved the chemical reactions and so on. It needs adult supervision as the children would not benefit from the magic alone and probably ruin whole set and waste money. I probably would not recommend this to all children. It is perfect for any budding scientist or genuine magician.

    Fun Wizard science kit
Great fun the test tubes and the mix is so much fun. It has colorful mixes with great magic action. The hat of a wizard is fun to make with stars .and the color of night . Magic and Science for wizards is so much to learn with shimmering magic in test tubes . The magic wand is easy and fun to make it sparkles and stays nice so you can use it when mixing color changing, bubbly , glowing potions in the provided test tubes . There is a test tube stabd and test tubes to go in it to mix the potions in so there is no mess to clean up after the magic .Nine activities keeps your attention with sparkles and color changes . The hat is easy to form and tape or glue then add provided star stickers for a real wizard look . Becoming a qualified wizard casting magic spells is a great activity that opens the imagination to wonder .The colors, reactions and sparkles are a lot of fun . You can become a science wizard .

    Great Fun for young children
I received this in exchange for an honest review. I knew it had to be tested by a child and fortunately I have a curious 5 year old grandchild who was happy to test it for me! We had a wonderful time with the various "experiments". They give you enough products to repeat the experiments with variations several times at least. Making the magic wand for my grandson was amazing as was playing with the crystals in various "experiments". My grandson loved it, his mom enjoyed playing with him and I enjoyed watching. They include the scientific explanation for each thing they did, my grandson actually listened to the explanations! Highly recommended for at least 5 year old and up. Makes a great present for any young child.

    Great Educational Activity for kids
My 10-year old daughter has recently showed interest in science experiment kits and when I saw this magic kit, I thought it would be a nice twist to the regular science kits she’s received. With the Scientific Explorer Magic Science For Wizards Only kit there are 9 activities: Feverish Fizz, Glow-In-The-Dark Bubbling Potion, Wizard Wand, Magic Hat, Fizzy Frenzy, Hocus Pocus Powder, Frothing Color-Changing Potion, Test Tube Crystal Ball, and Magic Wand Lava. Some supplies you would usually need to provide yourself (i.e. vegetable oil or baking soda) are included with this kit. Other supplies not included with this kit are common household products. Instructions were simple and my daughter could do most without help. She really liked making her own magic wand. It was difficult for her to put the end caps on herself, but nothing Mom and Dad couldn’t handle. Making her own paper magic hat was a bit baby-ish, I don’t think my 8-year old son would have even found that interesting. The other activities are a little repetitive (adding water to the included ingredients over and over again). For the price, this kit is definitely worth it, providing a couple hours of fun on a cold Winter afternoon.

    Fun!!!
We do these sorts of kits quite often usually with my older child. He is 11. This one I have to say is better suited for younger children. My 5 year old daughter was more interested in it than my son. This one makes science cool becasue it says science is like magic. The directions are easily understood and also are fun. During the instructions you say magic words but then it also has sections that explain why each experiment does what it did. Some of the experiments weren't much fun though but we still enjoyed it. The ones we did do wete making two tube of glow in the water. Which worked really well. But you made it two different ways then poured one into the other to make it fizzy glow in the dark water which the kids loved. There were magic grow crystal's as well. We did mostly these. Also we did the experiment where you take oil and then pour water into the test and it seperates. You are supposed to turn it over and over again and see a swirl of colors which we never did see. But the kids still enjoyed mixing it up and watching it seperate. Over all I think it was fun and great learning experience. It came with plenty of things as well. You can see all the different things in attached picture. I hope this review helps.

My 7 year old can't get enough of it.
I love science and my daughter loves Harry Potter. This was perfect for us to play with together. Pros: sturdy test tubes and stand, plenty of materials, re-sealable containers and clear results. Con: can be messy especially if not following provided instructions. (Worth it!)
