Just get it!
Ok firstly, the texture of this paper is everything. If you're into sketching then you know what I'm talking about. The texture has to be just right if you want good shading and dimension. The pencil kit is great too! It includes everything you need to create a good picture! I especially love that it includes some charcoals and a shader.

Walmart stock clerk careless cutting cover w/knife
Came with long knife/razor cut on cover, so can not give as gift, but... Quality of sketch book is EXCELLENT, thick beige not white paper. Binding is 5 star, hidden, sewn, glued so the pages aren't going anywhere! Would have make great gift (unblemished) with pens or markers for any artist in the family.

    Great Journal
    I really enjoyed this hardcover book. TBH, I didn't expect much from hardcover, as it is difficult to keep the pages from flipping on you. This book isn't so bad. It is bound perfectly. The paper is smooth to draw on and it looks great. I use Graphite mostly, but I'm in love with the charcoal...I look forward to doing more with it

    I received this product as part of a free sample program. I have to say, having used their products in the past, the quality is unmatched for the price. This little sketch book is the perfect size for travel, especially if you want to keep your packing on the lighter side or keep it with you at all times. The cover is incredibly sturdy and the pages are an excellent quality. Certainly no concern of pages coming loose or torn pages with this one. I would definitely recommend it as something to keep on hand for when inspiration strikes.

    Sticker came off just fine
    Just got this delivered. It seems to be pretty good quality -- the cover is a bit more plasticy than I expected and textured instead of smooth, but those aren't flaws. I saw that a lot of the other reviewers were saying that you couldn't get the label off of the front cover, but I wiped it with Un-Do (which is so, so much better than Goo-Gone, by the way) and it came right off in a single piece -- no residue or anything.

    Room to experiment, lasts a while
    I think this is a great sketchbook for those who want to experiment with different kinds of mediums. The paper is good for pencils and can handle ink. I've used watercolors on it and it's held up. Some negatives: Pages warp, markers bleed, it's a bit large for travel. But it has not ripped on me and the cover has not been damaged. I've had this for about 8 months and it's lasted me. Usually i'm working on more than one drawing at a time, i feel comfortable just flipping back to the page and continuing or making something new because of the amount of space that's provided with the book and the amount of pages. The pages are an off white that provide a hue for giving highlights and blending things to create value. Recommend to those who want to keep creating, even if you're not a professional. You have plenty of pages to explore whatever style or medium you want to use.

    Sturdy inside and out
    This is a really sturdy little book. I bought it for a 5yo to draw in. She LOVES it! The pages inside are heavy paper, she uses markers and they do not bleed through. The paper also accepts crayon and colored pencil very well. Overall, I am really happy with this purchase, and I'm buying one for the 7yo too since he indicated he wanted one too.

    Great Sketch book for price
    The front cover is very thick and so are the pages but not too thick you can remove the sticker on the front quite easily and as for shipping it came it 2 days :)
