Purchased several roku and never had this particular problem. Yes it's simple to install until going online and entering the code. After customer service call you back to complete activation they are now insisting that you purchase roku tv for $79.00. My roku was totally activated and within 6 minutes a screen popped up saying guest pay $79.00. I called customer service several times and they kept offering me roku tv for 79.00 which at one point a supervisor told me that's the only way my tv would work is to pay $ 79.00. Some how the original associate I spoke with on first setup called me back. He walk me through a factory reset and was assuring me he would get my roku working. Well he said that I would have to pay for technical support because this is a technical issue. After 2 hours I hung up on them this time. I am taking this piece of crap back to Walmart and I hope Walmart pull this product off the self. Walmart I know yall can make this happen this is a bad product with poor customer service. I'm adding photos so yall can see this was trying to extort $79.00 and high jacked my tv.

    Not for me.
    Was easy to setup but couldn't download Discovery . Changed password to username. Too much hassle. When I took roku from tv., box was hot after 48 hrs.

    We really like the Roku. It turns our TVs into Smart TVs and allows us to watch Netflix, Amazon and any other apps we have. This gives us the ability to stream shows and movies with a touch of a button. We highly recommend it for your steaming needs! We also love that is has the Roku Channel.

    To have the control to use when you want.
    Finally had a chance to hook this Roku up. It is not my first one but if your tv is not a smart tv this is the best way to get to see Youtube and a huge array of channels. Some are free and some require prescriptions. I myself love to have a choice to just use regular tv and use the Roku when I want. I had a smart tv with a startup smart screen had to return it because my dad does not want to learn new tech.

    Remote is very lacking ... You are warned
    The roku remote for this model has no power button... nor the volume up or volume down buttons. So you will have to use roku remote and your tv remote together.... Also no mute button either. got it for 19.88. has no way to expand storage other than what is already available on it. So far roku Ultra LT has microSD slot. roku Ultra has a USB port.

    This item was sent to me without the cables listed as in the box and when I looked at the unit itself, it was a different model of Roku, The Roku Express in the package. Thank God I was able to return it to my local Walmart store and obtain a refund.

    Yay britbox! Easy to use
    Bought for my elderly mother and she loves it! Very easy to use and works pretty fast as well! Love that you can use your phone as a remote as well. Now she can watch her Britbox period piece movies on a bigger screen instead of her phone and tablet.
