Quality mower for the price
Very easy to set up out of the box. The price is good and is why I got it in the first place. Cuts through tall grass pretty well. Doesn't use much gas either which is nice. Always starts right up for me on the second pull usually. I would buy this again if needed.

Cheap Junk. Do not buy. Lasts <90 days. See pics.
This mower has junk plastic components that break after minimal use. I dont now how it ever was approved for manufacturing. It fell apart anywhere plastic was used. the handle actually broke off because the part where it attaches is junk plastic. Look at the pics.

Gas tank leaked after 2nd use. After 3 months, the plastic holding the front wheels split and will not hold front wheels. The plastic in the back has also broke, so this mower is unusable. These are now out of stock and 10 days past the return policy deadline.

    Truly is junk
I tried to like this product, but it truly is junk. It's made of cheap plastic that didn't even make it three cycles of cutting my yard before completely breaking apart. Something broke on it literally every time I used it. The entire front wheel piece broke off on this third go round rendering it completely useless at this point. Third time is a charm, I guess. Please don't waste your money on this item.

    Very good little mower
Very light mower, cuts good, I have Zoysia grass which is tougher than some other grasses. Mower was very easy to get out of box and put together ( unfold handle and tighten handle bolts, no tools needed ). Add oil and gas, push primer button three (3) times and mower started on first pull. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend this unit for grass cutting where a smaller mower is needed or you don't mind walking a lot, (good exercise) . At todays labor prices, this mower will pay for itself before the season is over

    JUNK
Plastic, plastic and more plastic, even the wheels are cheap plastic. I should have know better than to waste my time assembling and filling tanks with oil and gas. It's so light weight and with the plastic wheels it's very very hard to push. After only a few minutes of trying to push this mower I gave up, very sore arms and back. I run cable for a living so I am quite strong but this was ridiculous. I tested back yard with very low grass and had a little trouble pushing the mower then when I took it to the front yard where the grass was slightly higher it wouldn't move and I was really pushing hard. Returning to store if possible.

was a good price, hope it lasts a few seasons
I had high hopes for the 170cc to replace my not so old murray 140cc mower. I got it at $159.00, a few days later the price shot up to $258.99. It Looked good out of the box, very sporty looking. The one lever height adjustment works good. I set it up with the recommended oil and filled the gas tank. It started up after a few times. What surprised me was the difficulty with uneven ground. If it hit a small mound of dirt, a big plume of white smoke shot out of the muffler. This happened a couple of times. In the 40 years of using push mowers I've never seen one do that. I still hope it gets better with further use. The rear flap that supposedly protects from debris coming out of the rear won't last long. It's too thin and the points where it's attached can easily be torn off if you mow with a lot of maneuvering like I've gotten used to. The wheels look nice, but feel too light and hollow to last very long. The oil fill dipstick cap is on a finger hook and is just a push pull type cap, not a screwed on cap like I've always seen. I think that vibration and movement might jar it loose or get hooked on vegetation and get lost in the grass over time especially if not secured properly. The side discharge came off once after brushing against a bush. It's installed by locking two small pegs on each side under the mulching cover. If your lawn is already manicured and on even terrain, this would be a good mower, especially with the 170cc engine. If you have tough terrain like johnson grass and ant hills like I do, you probably won't like its ticks.

Best buy based on utility to price criteria.
Should we be rating reliability on ANY new purchase? I chose this mower for the power to price ratio 170 cc and the lowest price. Read carefully the oil filling instrictions. In most brands the crankcase is designed forexactly one quart. For this engine only 16.9 OZ is specified (half Qt) which worried me. You can view the machine and see economy was a prime design requirement. It was easy to unpack and setup. Ran first pull right out of the box. It's a push mower and I find most of these over priced since they are mostly sourced from CHINA as is this machine...but I felt this mower had an HONEST price.

    Well that!
Clearly the mowers designers never cut grass or at least this push machine. The Shute comes apart after a mow or two-Devoured by the speedy blade. Within two runs both the Shut side walls were partialy gone. Otherwise, runs well. A rubber covering of the handle would have been a-bonus.
