I must have been the one that got the "lemon" one!
Bought item on-line. Tried it after a few days of receiving it and it wouldn't heat at all. Then I went to push the STOP button and the knob (which is only plastic by the way) fell back into the body of the machine/toaster. Most parts are plastic and I consider this machine to a "lemon" Returned it to my local Wal Mart for credit.

    Love the hot dogs. Be careful when removing wieners from device, they can drop through basket. Remove to unplug prior to removing wieners from device.
