FTM and I'm grateful everyday
I received a gift card for my honest review on this product. I am a FTM and I had a c-section. My milk hadn't come in for 3 days until I was released from the hospital even though I had good colostrum in the beginning. I got the medela pump through my insurance and had no idea if I was even going to use it. But with the trauma from birth and my daughter not latching great, when my milk came in I started pumping on both breasts to see how much I was making and how much she was drinking. I started at day 3 postpartum and am going strong 4 months now. This product gave me the confidence and peace of mind that I needed to take care of my baby. I set small goals for myself, give her breastmilk for one month, 3 months and now aiming for 6 months. I honestly dont know what I would have done without it. This pump has travelled with me to three cities and through everything the one constant has been this pump that has served me so well. I haven't tried any other pump so cannot compare. But it seems to work well for me. it took me a while to figure out best settings and how long I need to pump. the stimulate option is great and helps me get a little more milk in each session. I hope to continue using it for as long as I can. Maintenance is a breeze and I love it.

Used to love but no more
I HATE the new model of this pump. I had three of the previous model (kids are spread out) and I was a huge fan. However, I literally hate this redesign. It tips and spills easily (which when pumping, is a slap in the face). But, the worst part is when you take it apart and clean it, it is a nightmare to get working again. Go back to the old design because this version is garbage.

    Compact size but still great power!
    This is a great breast pump for regular, daily use. It has a small, compact design making it easy to use on-the-go especially with the battery pack. I can easily use it around the house or toss it in my bag to use on-the-go in the car running errands or when I'm out at work or with my family. Still great power despite the smaller size! My previous pumps have benefits much bulkier and much louder.

    Easy to clean overall good pump
    The only issue I had with this pump was that it stopped suctioning on the right side. I checked all the tubing and parts to make sure they were placed correctly. I reached out to Medela customer support and they emailed me back. They were very friendly and willing to help solve the problem. But eventually after trying again the pump started working fine again. It might have been the fact that I didn't have the power cord all the way in. The best part about the pump to me is that, it's easy to clean, set up, and store.

    Overall a great pump. Works well and I love the fact I can change the strength. It is however very noisy so if anyone is a light sleeper it may be an issue at night. “I received a gift card for my honest review on this product

    Good breast pump

    I have mixed feelings about my pump in style. It is wonderfully portable and I love that it can use batteries or plug. It is harder to clean than my spectra pump because there are more parts to wash. It is also frustrating that you can't buy replacement membranes; instead you have to buy a whole new set of flex connectors. It is easier to single pump than with the spectra. Overall it works well but has some undesirable features. I received a gift card for my honest review on this product

    Powerful Pump
    I got this pump through insurance and was using it as a backup pump to my Medela Freestyle Flex. My Freestyle Flex broke (after 3.5 months), so I've been using this pump and it's definitely more powerful, but doesn't hurt. The only two things I wish were different were the flanges (I use laktek) so that I can see when milk stops coming out and if it could be portable (not plugged into the wall every time I have to use it).     Constantly clogs tubes 3 times, motor damage maybe
    This is my third Medela pump I have gotten through insurance for my wife, the first two worked great but this model we have used 3 times now and all three times milk got back into the tubes so had to throw tubes out and buy new ones. This happened three times now and most likely got milk in the motor. Having to constantly buy tubing every single time is a waste of money and you can buy a different pump out of pocket after the 6th replacement. Never had any issues with the Advanced model.
