Good source of protein for vegetarians
Since I have a plant based diet, I was glad when I found this product so that I could expand my sources of protein. Although this protein powder has no added flavorings, it does has a mild natural pea flavor which makes it ideal to add to soups, stews, chili, and cornbread. I also enjoy it in smoothies especially those made with celery and other assorted greens. I like that this is non GMO, low in carbs and fats and that it's easy on the digestive system.
I've been using this product for several years now and have always been happy with it.

Generally, I think NOW supplements are great - good quality and a great price. This pea protein however is not a product I like. A full scoop of it in my usual smoothie thickens the entire drink and tastes like sawdust. So now, just to use it up, I only put about 1/4 - 1/3 of a scoop. Not recommended by me.John F.

Besides hi protein count it does not foam up like other powders in the blender when I make my smoothies. I like unflavored because always use blue berries, kale, spinach in my smoothies and I do not want flavor added. Best buy for the money.Cleveland

NOW Pea Protein Powder is nothing but "100% Pure, Non-GMO Pea Protein Isolate [from yellow peas]". I buy the natural unflavored variety and love the flavor. It reminds me a little of pure malt powder in taste and consistency. I use NOW Pea Protein powder in my morning smoothie with bananas, coconut milk, and orange juice. Sometimes I really step it up adding blueberries and pecans. The protein powder mixes very well with absolutely no lumps or graininess. I've used NOW Pea Protein powder since last summer. Occasionally I'll try different brands of pea protein powder, but always return to the NOW version. I always buy the 2 pound container as I find the prices are best at this amount. Each level scoop (33 g) of NOW Pea Protein powder provides 24 grams of protein. I decided to use pea powder over all the other types of protein powders because it's easy to digest. Though I have always been a fan of NOW supplements, I researched and tried other brands. Like I said above, I am totally sold on the NOW Pea Protein brand. I highly recommend NOW's Pea Protein (natural unflavored) powder to anyone looking for an excellent supplemental source of protein.NMIsadora

I've added chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, along with various fruits, but it's still a struggle for me to swallow it. I really want to mix it with the whey protein I use, but I'm trying to be whey/dairy free for an elimination diet. Not sure if I'll buy again.SPSUE
