Great RGB controller that works with smartphone.
I only bought this kit for the rgb controller, because I already had the lights. This controller is great because it works with the geeni app and google home and Alexa. This is the 5v RGB light strip. Too bad its only 6 ft of LEDs. These LEDs use the 5050 RGB chip plus WW warm white and CW cool white LED chips.

Soooo Close, but No Cigar...
I REALLY wanted to LOVE these lights and I did - for 24 hours. I had previously bought Monster 6.5ft Color-Changing LED Light Strip, USB-Powered From 5V USB Ports for $4.88. First one wouldn't even light, so I called Walmart and got a second one for free. Lasted less than a year (3/21). So I searched for something I hoped was better, was intrigued by app (vs. crappy remote), color spectrum, timer, etc. (if I could get it to work). Well, wonder of wonders, I did and had some fun changing the brightness, color, setting the timer and unplugging my manual timer. I received them on 11/14, set them up the next evening and came home to see if the timer worked and kept the color I wanted (it did). Was going to text a few bffs to let them know about cool new light product, but when I looked them over I saw a split hanging out like a sore thumb in the silicone (?) gel strip. The crappy lights were on thin black plastic tape that stuck to nothing with a cheap-y black tape holding the connection. This set had a nice white, plastic cord and what appeared to be a much more sturdy and reliable connector. Lights are behind clear, gel substance. I unrolled it from the wheel and using the natural curl it had, wound it up my plant. I was very careful because I did not want to break any leaves. As you can see in pics, it is not pulled tight, just gently coiled around. I don't know how it would have handled corners on a flat screen TV, when it is basically in the same coil state that it came off the roll and not turning any 45 degree angles. I have temporarily secured it with scotch tape, but I don't think I should have to rig something less than 24 hours out of the box. Will see if some reaches out, may call or return by 2/12. So cool, so sad.

Nice touch to a 100 year old window
I made a window box using a piece of glass from the original church that my great great grandfather built over 100 years ago. I had led strip lights in it already but they were almost impossible to get to turn on or off. So, they were seldom on. It was sad when we wanted to show people but could not get them to come on. With these lights, I tell Google to turn them on and it happens like magic. Now I cant wait for someone to come over. The set up was easy. I cant brag about the adhesive though. I added some super double sided craft tape that my wife uses. Now these lights arent going any place.

    Great but has its cons
Got these Dec 2019 and Jan 2020 is when they're starting to act up. I also only had them in one spot of my room so they weren't touched much. Also, these were the first LED strip lights I bought so I didn't know other LEDs come with extra equipment to connect more to with ease. Not these. You'll need a machine (forgot the name of the hot tool). App is easy. Set up is easy. Overall they were great just the connecting to others is going to be a pain. You're also going to need extra tape or crazy glue to stick them. It comes with its sticky side and other screws but I didn't use them.

    AWESOME!! Great product!
Well then! I'm a big fan of this Merkury Innovations 2m color changing smart WiFi LED strip light! It plugs into your computer via USB, so it can be set up around your desk area. IT IS SO COOL. This was the perfect addition to my DJ table. It's super easy to set up, the app is easy to figure out, and the lights work great! It's a good 6.5 feet strip, so you can do a lot with it or a little with it. Note that it's a one-way ribbon, so don't expect lights on all sides like rope lights. This strip would work well with double-sided tape for easy installation. I do wish the lights were on both sides of the ribbon, but it's not going to affect the 5-star rating for this product. If you want a quality LED light strip that has a lot of cool options to choose from, look no further because this is the product you're looking for!

    Works great!
The Merkury Innovations Color Changing Smart Wi-Fi LED Light Strip Kit Is pretty awesome. We decided to mount it to our sons desk. Love the variety of colors. Also, a big fan of the fact that it works with Google Assistant and Alexa. The app to control the light was very easy to use and set up was a breeze. We love this strip light. Highly recommended.

    So innovative!
I received this Merkury Innovations 2m Color Changing Smart Wifi RGB LED Strip Light Kit for an unbiased review. I read the directions and figured out all about this lighting strip and it is so innovative I cannot believe it sells at a price point of around $20; however, it is only a 6.6 foot strip. After putting it up I assumed this lighting would be way more than twenty dollars because it works so well, is so bright for the size, and works great with the app. These lights come with two small instruction books. They started with having me download the Geeni app. It was free and easy to download on my iPhone. I had to register an account, which didn’t take long, typical questions like creating a username and password, country, and phone number I think. I had already plugged the adapters in and then I’m pretty sure it had me set up my WiFi then I tried to add my device to the app, but I may have those confused. Once I hit add device the lights are supposed to start flashing. I tried it a few times, but my lights weren’t blinking (maybe because I already had it plugged in). I was a little confused as to what to do next but I read to turn the bulb off and on three times in a row. The ‘bulb’ they are referring to Is the reset button on the WiFi connector (the little white square on the rectangular white box on the strip connection). Also then I went back and saw how to reset the lights (Step 3) which would have probably fixed my problem as well. The lights then connected via wifi and the app was so easy to use. Once you add and choose your lighting strip from the home screen there are four options on the bottom of the app (color, white, scene, and schedule). Under color you can change the color, brightness, and saturation of the lights. Under white you can change how bright the colors are and the color temp (seems like this means white to yellowish etc). Under scene there are pre-made lighting schemes which are nearly, like nature which lights green hues. Under schedule you can add times and days of the week for the lighting to go on and off. Each function, even scheduling, is so easy to use. I haven’t cut my light yet, but it is very convenient that you can make cuts for specific lengths needed. The second set of instructions is a voice control guide and I have a google home so I set these lights up with those directions. This was so easy. It instructed to open the google home app and the Geeni was showing on the front screen. I clicked it to connect and then it asked me to login via my Geeni phone number (my email didn’t work) and password. It logged in and had me choose the Geeni lights. If you have more than one light strip I’m assuming they would all show on that screen. I chose the one light strip I have and named it living room. I then said hey google, turn the living room lights on and bam the light strip turned on! Overall these lights are awesome. I would recommend them. They are bright, functional, and user friendly.
