Simple Smart Plug!
I received the Merkury Innovations Indoor/outdoor 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi smart plug in green a couple weeks ago. I have to say the device is well made and has a tight weather seal. It comes in a green rubberized cord and green case which houses the plug and wi-fi components. The case is durable and weather resistant. The setup for the device was very simple. Easy to download the app and connect to the home router after pushing the pairing/power button. The connection is strong and the app works great. I actually have light bulbs tide to the app from the same manufacturer. Technology literally at your fingertips. I chose this to help me easily turn the back patio decorative lights on and off. The app and connection is flawless. The cord appears to be heavy enough to handle some decent power. It's ideal for outdoors due to the style but there is no reason why it can't be used inside if not seen. I would recommend this plug as it is a great product and easy to use. No complaints here.

    Great tool for outdoor
    The Mercury Innovations indoor/outdoor Smart Plug is an amazing addition to my outside living area. It easily lets you control lights, electronics, or in our case my husbands grill. You have to download an app that lets you connect the plug to your WiFi. You need at least 2.4 GHz for this plug to work. It took my husband 3-4 times to get the app to connect to the plug, but once it did, it worked immediately. The app is very easy to use. It has a large button for on/off, you can schedule when you want things turn on or off, you can choose specific days and times for your items to turn on. There is also a timer so you can set and forget....it will turn off. There is a blue light on the front of the plug that lets you know that it is connected to the WiFi. Response time between the app and the devise being controlled is immediate. My husband said this is very well made. It is very affordable and I am excited to use this plug at Christmas as we have lots of inflatables. Right now, we are using the plug for my husbands pit boss grill. It has to be plugged in for the electronics. I love how this is something that makes life easier at such an affordable price. We will definitely be purchasing several more of these plugs.

    Merkury is a great product
    I have used Merkury Products in the past, and they have always worked as specified. However, you have to pay the price for using them. I eventually stopped buying the lightbulbs because it just became too expensive. But, since I had the trust of the light bulbs, I had no doubt that this product would work great. We got this product to use at Christmas time. Our tree is beautiful, but it does not leave us very much room between the tree and the outlet. So, it has been a pain in the past to be able to urn the lights on and off. This product now allows us to do it from our phones and also a timer, so we don't have to worry about it. I really like the small footprint of this product. It is not a giant extension cord that you have to hide. I like the rubber end that goes into the plug when it is time to store. It ensures that this product will not get messed up. I tested this product on a lamp and it worked beautifully. I hope anyone who purchases this product has the same experience I have had with Merkury. I know this product says it can be used outdoors, but I do not think my Wifi would allow for that as my range is not that great. So, I was unable to test that part of the product. But, inside it worked great!

    Easy to set up, easy to use!
    The Merkury Innovations Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug is a great way to control backyard lighting or other outdoor electronics from an easy to use app on your phone, or even better with voice commands via google or Amazon Alexa (I used google). I live in the rainy Pacific Northwest so not having to go outside to unplug backyard or holiday lights at night in the rain definitely comes in handy. There's an easy-to-download/easy-to-use app that interfaces with the Google Home app I was already using for other devices in my home. Super easy to set up in about 1-2 minutes. Piece of cake to integrate this extra smart plug, and I could give it my own name so I can say "Hey google, turn off backyard lights" and it's that easy! One thing to note is this does not work on 5 GHz wi-fi like many other smart devices. It needs to be 2.4 GHz. Awesome product and highly recommended!

    I received the Merkury Innovations Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug (Green), and I'm not sure how I did it before. Every year with the lights I dread taking out the timer, having to program the time (then daylight savings happens), remember and set each day with each time. Not anymore, with this wifi smart plug it's as easy as opening the app. Now I can everything ready to go in minutes. Installing the plug was a snap and set up of the app was no problem. Each step walks you through how to program it. The plug has been outside for a few days now and I haven't had any problems. I just can't believe how easy it was to use. I also love being able to turn the outdoor lights on with a touch oh a button and with Alexa. Great find.

    I have needed one of these for a while. I wanted to get one during the winter to help regulate my Christmas lights display. I only wanted this for the strict purpose of being able to turn my lights on and off from my devices connected to the intranet. The plug works great. Was very simple to connect to my network and once connected I was able to use the app to control the plug. Whatever I had connected to the plug would turn on and off at the press of my phone button. I am thrilled with the ability to be more lazy and regulate my outdoor plug.

    automates my life
    I raise quail and chickens. I needed a way to be able to turn the heater in the brooder pen on at night and off during the day without me physically having to go out at night to plug in the unit or go out to unplug it after it started to warm up during the day. I also did not want to take the chance of forgetting to plug in the heat plate and have my chicks getting cold. I am using this Wi-Fi smart plug from Merkury Innovations to run the heat source in my coop automatically and it works great! This plug requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to operate remotely or it can be operated manually by simply pushing the power button. It will also work with smart assistant devices such as Alexa or Google Home. The app was super easy to download using the QR code printed on the included instruction sheet. I quickly set up my account following the instructions on the app and entered the security code sent to me via email. I have a dual band router so I had to make sure it was set to 2.4 GHz. Then the app located and connected right up to the smart plug automatically. I set up a schedule in the app to turn the smart plug on at 9 pm and off at 7 am. I never have to worry about it again. I can even control the plug through the app if I am out of town and the temperature starts to get colder than expected. It can be used indoors or outdoors and has a mounting bracket built in on the back of the plug.

    Very convenient tool for many uses!
    I really love this Merkury Innovations Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug! It is so convenient and allows us to control features around our house so easily. The quality is really good and I can tell it will be very durable, even in the elements outside. The setup was so easy using the included instructions. All I had to do was download the Geeni app to get started, which was easy and has great reviews. The entire process was very seamless and not confusing or complicated at all and it worked right away. I hooked up our video baby monitor first, just to get an idea of how it worked. I was so pleasantly surprised by just how easy and convenient it was right away. I can now easily turn the baby monitor on and off with just a simple tap of a button on my phone. It's so simple and great! I know we will also get one to use outside for our Christmas lights because it's just so much easier. It will be nice to not have to go outside just to turn the lights on and off, because it's in a really difficult area to reach. And when it's cold and dark, no one wants to have to go out just for Christmas lights every night. I definitely recommend this WiFi smart plug to anyone wanting to simplify their life and be able to turn electrical items on and off with a simple app on their phone!

    I decided to get this smart plug because we have cafe lights strung throughout our backyard and everytime we want to go out at night my husband or I have to stumble our way to the side of the house in the dark and plug them in. Now that we've installed the smart plug we just press a button from our phone and they light up immediately. We also activate them while we're out of town or if friends surprise visit while I'm cooking dinner or even if the kids want to run and play in the back for 20 mins at night. Download the app (I attached a picture of the logo so you don't upload the wrong one) and you're good to go.

    Easy to use WiFi outdoor smart plug
    The Merkury Outdoor Plug is actually a pretty nice solution for when you want to automate turning on / turning off something located outdoor - like outdoor lights, or seasonal outdoor decoration that requires a power outlet. It works over wi fi network. You have to download the Geeni app (works with both Apple and Android), connect the device to your wi fi network through the app, and then you're good to go. No need to use a smart hub or anything else. The process was very simple. I found it easier to just go along the steps in the app rather than reading off the manual. In the app, you can turn on / turn off the plug quickly with the touch of a button, but also set up timer (to auto turn off) or routines (like, for example, you can specify that you want your plug to turn on every day at 7 pm, and then create a second routine to turn it off every day at 7 am, which would work great for seasonal lights). I like that this is a simple solution, and works for outdoor use (which means it can stand rain and other weather conditions). The only problem is that I couldn't get it to work with Alexa. I mean, I was able to add the device to Alexa, but Alexa didn't recognize “Merkury Outdoor Plug” as a valid device. It is not a big deal since I don't intend to use it with Alexa. For me the real value is in setting up timer and / or in automated turn on / turn off routines, and for that I only need the Geeni app, that works great.
