Mostly Great but Sometimes Things Get By
Package said sell by or use by 11/14/2021. However, some of the lettuce had started to decay. I don't know if it will show up in the picture or not but my guess is it needs to be picked over and if any can be salvaged it needs to be eaten today and the remainder thrown out.

    Soggy lettuce
    To the right is the lettuce bag they gave me. You can tell it's not bad but just wasn't kept at the right temperature because all the leaves are limp and soggy and there is water in the bag

    Marketplace Iceberg Salad
    We purchase this Iceberg Salad quite often, however this bag we bought today had a very strong smell and taste of perfume. We had to throw this bag out due to my wife being allergic to cologne or perfume. It all but made my wife sick. This was purchased this morning (10/30/2022) at Walmart on Elm Springs Rd. I was always told that people working around food products were not allowed to wear perfume or cologne, but somebody isn't watching their workers and this practice had gotten worse in the past several years. Our meats etc. do not even get USDA inspected anymore. There may be USDA people on site, but they are not inspecting our foods anymore.

    Where's the lettuce???
    forgive me but I expect lettuce in my salad when I buy a bag of salad mix. Not 99% shedded carrots and purple cabbage. Very very disappointed. I have had more lettuce on my hamburger from Whataburger then I do in this bag.

    worst ever. this salad is ao wilted and watery. i would not feed it to rabbit's. who ever fills the orders for delivery, should really pay attention.

    Bad Lettuce!
    Brown, wilted lettuce. Not out dated, but produce workers and/or shopper should have discarded this item from the store floor. I am not driving 3 miles back to the store for a $1.78 refund. You keep it.

    Bad produce
    The use before date is Aug 8th . My husband put it in the refrigerator. I went to make a salad and just threw it away , that's after taking a picture of it. I got bad bananas the day before .

    The last two times that I have done grocery pick up with Walmart, the salad mix was already wet and inedible when I got it. I will no longer use Walmart for picking up produce after this last time. Gross.

    Inconsistent freshness
    I just bought this bag of salad today (on a pick up order), 6/29/22. It's best by date is 7/8/22. I couldn't even use it today because there's so much old, dark lettuce in it. It went straight to the garbage which is so disappointing. I hate wasting money. Sometimes I get great looking salad. It's sort of a crap shoot.

    Salad Disappoints
    After picking up my groceries today (6/1), I was disappointed to see that the salad mix that I purchased already had some brown lettuce in it. This was despite a Best Buy date of June 7, six days in the future! While I appreciate the convenience of shopping online, I still do not feel comfortable ordering fresh foods (fresh fruits or vegetables, meats, etc.).
