Soft mattress pad. It's not too thick but still adds a little extra padding to your bed and smooths it out. It is waterproof but doesn't make that crinkly noise every time you move around. The only downside is if you have a fitted sheet that doesn't have the extra straps to hold it in place the mattress pad will slip off every night and take your sheet with it

Not for a bed wetter.
I have 3 kids ages 5 and under. None of them consistently hold themselves overnight so they wear overnight diapers. Sometimes those overnight diapers aren't enough and they get their bed wet. So I have an assortment of mattress pads I use to protect their mattresses. I like ones that aren't that thick because I have to store the clean ones until they can be used. Fortunately this one is not super thick, however it's also not as compact when folded as others I have. It's acceptable as far as that goes. The top feels like a sheet and it has a diamond pattern. However the back does NOT feel like it has a waterproof barrier. It feels like there is some batting inside but no waterproof barrier either, but I wasn't sure so I decided to do a water test. I did NOT want to test this on the bed first as I was not confident that it is waterproof. I took my kitchen sink sprayer and briefly sprayed the top side. Within seconds the underside was moist! While it's not as sheer as a sheet, it doesn't offer any real protection. The ScotchGuard did help the water roll off it, but in the case where the kid is on the top it's not going to roll off. I cannot recommend this product for protecting your mattress.

    Has DEEP Pockets but Is a Little Crunchy
    It's hard to find a mattress cover that has Dee pockets for my foam mattress but the Mainstays Mattress Pad Collection Waterproof, Antimicrobial or Extra Thick has plenty of depth to cover my mattress completely. The top is a quilted and slightly padded material, but it is not thin and is a little crunchy from the waterproofing. The cover washes and dries well, although I do dry it on a very low heat to keep the waterproofing material from getting too hot and potentially breaking down.

    We are very happy with this Mainstays Waterprood Mattress Pad. Having two young boys who frequently climb in bed with us during the night it is very important to us to have a waterproof mattress pad. It make those inevitable accidents a breeze to clean up and protects our mattress. The pad fits our deep queen mattress perctly and snuggly. It has not slipped off the corners like some that we have tried before. We live in south Texas where it is extremely hot, even in October. Some mattress pads can make our bed unbearably hot but this pad has not added any warmth to our bedding. I don't necessarily notice that it is a "cooling" mattress pad but as long as it doesn't make our bed warmer I am happy. It is a thick mattress pad but not enough that it makes our firm bed too soft. It adds just enough cushion and comfort. I highly reccommend this Mainstays Waterproof Mattress Pad, for it checks all of our boxes!

    Good fit
    I have been using this Mainstays waterproof mattress protector, for over a week now. I really like how well this fits my bed. The mattress that I have, is a little bit bigger than most, I was worried that it might not fit. I was able to pull this over every corner and side of my bed with no with no issue or fight. The material is soft to the touch, the pad itself is thin but comfortable. After sleeping on this, I did notice the mattress protector does retain some body heat as you sleep, making the bed a little bit warmer. Once it was time to wash, I read the laundry directions on the tag and threw it in the washer. Once it dried, the fit was still perfect. No shrinking or misshapen areas. I absolutely recommend this product.

    Soft and stays cool
    This queen sized waterproof mattress pad is much better than the last one with a terry cloth top. My pillow top mattress doesn't feel different with this pad…other waterproof pads make the mattress less soft and seem to make the sheets hotter without letting it breathe. The kids haven't spilled or peed in my bed yet so I cannot attest to the waterproof factor but I have concerns. Overall I am very happy and enjoy the improved comfort with the insurance of the waterproof underlayment.

    Waterproof Queen Size Pad
    Received item a few weeks ago in great condition. This is a Queen Size Mattress Pad. We washed the item first before putting it on our bed. Follow instructions on the tag for proper washing and drying. After it was done and dry, both my wife and I put this on our bed. It has stretchy material to fit our Queen Size bed. We have a much thicker mattress, height wise and yes it fit on it perfectly. This is waterproof but not spill proof. It is to help protech the mattress from getting stained. It is soft and comfy so it adds a little bit more softness while sleeping on it. Yes bed sheets can fit over this. Anykind. There are different sizes of these mattress pads even as small as crib ones. Happy Sleeping

    Prolong your mattress
    I was given the Mainstays Waterproof Mattress Pad in the size Queen to give my honest review and opinion. What I like about this mattress pad is that it fits nice over my mattress and doesn't cause my sheets to slip. I also like that this mattress pad has scotchgard protector which helps release stains and moisture which doesn't make your mattress too hot and keeps it soft and breathable. I would recommend getting this mattress pad to prolong the life of your mattress.

    Super excited and happy to say I am super proud to have found this Mattress cover for my mattress. I have a three year old that barely getting potty trained and I was so worried about my mattress getting stained. Until I came upon this life saving staying safe cover. I definitely recommend this beauty. I had to make sure it would help keep stains off and yes is very helpful this will be very nice for all the parents with little one that have little ones.     Great Mattress pad
    I'm so happy I got the Mainstays waterproof Queen Mattress pad. I was nervous at first that it wouldn't fit my bed since I have a pillow top However, this pad did fit as it fits mattresses up to 15 inches. The pad is great for my family since we have little children. The mattresses protects the bed from spills or if someone has an accident. I already tested the pad out and was very happy that when my son spilled water on my bed the bed remained dry. The mattresses pad did protect my bed and not allowed any water to wet the bed. The pad was very easy cleaned/ wiped down. I also washed the pad already and it washes nicely as well. The Mattress cover/pad is soft and durable. Another great feature about purchasing this item is it has a 3 year warranty.

    Seems kind of flimsy but no problems so far
    This is a soft, thin mattress pad with an interesting texture to it on the back. It feels kind of like paper and the texture seems a lot like the material that medical face masks are made with. It says that it is polyester and also contains 80% regenerated polyester filling. There is a 3-year warranty on this. I don't know how this is going to hold up physically for my young kids who are pretty rough on their beds, but its claims of being anti-microbial, moisture-wicking, and easy to clean sound great. We've had it for a week and so far so good. It's always good to have another layer of protection under the sheet. It fits our regular twin bed very well.
