Love this Sensor Garbage can. Compared to similar cans its a great deal. Opens and closes with no problem. Lid does not close up on you while inserting garbage like other sensored cans do. Also price was great and affordable.

was great for the first 6 months...
OK, I was thrilled with this at first - except for the fact that even though it's 'metal' if a malodorous thing gets into it, it does NOT go away! But with the auto-close lid and this in my mud room, I was OK. A Then at 6 months in the lid went wonky, OK, changed the batteries, no problem. Worked for about a week and went wonky again. So out came the troubleshooting guide - I followed everything to the letter. Again, worked about a day, and now the lid just doesn't close at all! I have to stand there and physically push it down from various heights wherever it stopped.

    Love the convenience!
    So far, so good! I love having an automatic opening trash can in the kitchen! When your hands are dirty or full, it is so convenient to have the lid open for you to deposit your trash. This is a must have for my kitchen! The stainless steel is easy to keep clean and matches my other appliances. It’s seems to be well made and is sturdy. The lid opens quietly and senses when you are finished adding trash. It sits a little lower than my previous model that was a Nine Star brand. The true test will be how long the opening mechanism lasts, which remains to be seen. (I’ve had it one month.) I’d recommend it as it is fairly priced and was delivered with care and nicely protected and packaged.

    Don't listen to the description. Uses D batteries
    Haven't been able to try it, I ordered this garbage can online, where the description says it uses c cell batteries. That is a lie. Uses 2 “D” batteries.

    Does NOT take C batteries
    Description says it takes 3 C batteries. had to order them and just got my C batteries delivered for the trashcan lid... they don't fit. it does NOT take C batteries. Come on Walmart...

    This is the third trashcan I have wheel completely complicated surgery. Yes, I am a girl purchased in the last month. This one is by far the nicest and it works for me. It holds the bags nice and tight. They never fall into the inside and I like the fact that you can make the top say open all the time if you like, it’s appears to be well-made. I like it.

    Size - Great; Delivery - Perfect; Complains - NONE very good for tight / small spaces / kitchen... Two small warnings for future buyers: It requires 2 fat big batteries... :-( so, US$10 extra from Walmart :-) for a 4baterries pack! The motion sensor is good but many times -in my kitchen- it opens every time I walk around it, in fact, I purchased this trash can because the sensor in on top, not infront but still it detects motion... If that doesn’t annoys you, it's a good buy! Better prices that AMA... FAIR..., TEM.... etc. Conclusión: I’m happy! :-) Not 5 stars because the battery and the sensor but I can survive with that

    Not a happy customer at the moment.
    I literally received this about 4hrs ago. The FedEx guy that dropped off this actually just dropped it on the concrete. i was sitting in my livingroom watching him on camera and heard it when it hit the ground smh. So i took my package in the house and opened it. Very simple to put together. On Walmart site for this item under info it says this trash can use C batteries. After taking off the lid i see it uses D batteries. Lucky i has a set, but i bought 2 packs for trash can, now i don't need them. It was simple to put the bag inn and etc. So i went thru a lot of the comments but seems like no one had this issue so i assume it's just me. This is suppose to be a sensor trash can. I have to hit the on/off button everytime i need to put trash in the trash can. i mean it works then but when i go back 5, 10, 30 mins later..... nothing. I'm just waving at a trash can. if I'm suppose to do this every time i use the can i would've just kept my traditional trash can since i have to keep toto touching it. So I'm returning it tomorrow. Don't know should i order another one or not cause I'm not sure if the sensor suppose to work all the time unless you cut it off, at least that's what the book said. I can't say weather this was a good buy or bad one really cause it may be malfunction cause the fedex driver dropped it or i just have a bad product. It's in good condition so i don't know. Hope this help someone. Oh and as you can see from the 2nd picture i added I'm directly in front of the sensor and it's still close. It cuts off after every 1st use and i have to manually cut it back on to use.

I ordered delivery, not shipping, so it should've been more carefully handled. Now I have a scratched waste bin and expensive batteries I'll likely never use.
