    Poorly fitted pieces... Major headache
    The pieces do not fit together in some spots. LEGO always fits together without fail. This quality was bad, though. I realized they just aren't made properly. A lot of the pieces click together but there are too many that ALMOST fit. It's a massive headache. I won't venture outside of LEGO again. I learned my lesson.

    Total fun
    An absolute fun build for Pokémon fans. My daughter had this built quickly and just loves playing with it, especially loves the fire coming out if Charizard's mouth.     We received this kit from Mattel. My 10 year old son loves to build and use LEGOs. The individual bags in the box are not labeled or divided into steps. All the blocks had to be dumped and dug through for each step. This particular set has lots of very small bricks and pieces. Normally a set with this many pieces, 222 pieces, takes my son about an hour to put together. This has been a few hours he has worked on building. It is neat that when it's completed there are moving parts, the arms move, the jaw opens and closes, so it can be posed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    I received a Mega Construx Pokemon Charizard set for my son to put together and review. He was immediately interested in this set. Just enough pieces to keep him entertained. He did have a bit of trouble understanding the instructions. I did help put the set together. Definitely for an older child in my opinion as the instructions are a bit hard to understand.     Nicely detailed & articulated figure
    This Mega Construx Pokemon Charizard arrived the week before Christmas so it was something fun for my grandson & I to do over the Christmas holidays. I thought it looked a bit overwhelming because the box indicated that there are 222 pieces! Everything came packaged in plastic bags but they are not numbered so we really had no idea where to start. The instructions show which pieces you need for each step & how they are assembled, but it's hard to tell some of the pieces from others that look nearly identical. Also, the pieces are bagged randomly so that what you need to complete a step might come from 3 or more different bags. We ended up dumping out all of the pieces & trying to keep the “like” ones together, which really helped. It took us a couple of hours to put this together but in the end he is really happy with the completed figure. It seems to be a display-only piece because if you try to play with it or pose the articulated parts, something seems to always pop off. Overall, this is a great piece for a Pokemon fan & the finished product is nicely detailed, but younger kids will definitely need some adult help. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
