Awesome combo, best value in the dept
Great of a good deal! Great features for beginner pricing. Unfortunately I was unable to find any left hand reel versions. Description online is sorely lacking, so here's the important details. 7.5:1 reel speed 8 ball bearings 6'10" Med Hvy rod Fast action, 1 piece Only down side so far is the hook keeper is located under and below the handle, poor location imo. Will update if encounter any long term issues going forward.

It's a good rod but walmart shipped it with just the label on the Tag and two of my guides where bent and the reel had a big scratch in it. So it's walmarts fault not the rod .

    Good value
    Good value, great starter baitcast setup. The reel is the center star of this fishing combo, smooth light and casts like a dream. The rod is A bit stiff but robust, I would not hesitate to buy this again.

    I ordered two rods The first one came who was sticking about a foot out of the box where where two boxes had been taped together I ordered a second one and when I got it all I got was the rod and no real they were packed in two boxes that were take together in the middle If you're going to sell rides and reels you need to have the proper shipping boxes either long narrow boxes or tubes put them in I'm afraid to order a third one because no telling what I'll wind up with I'm very disappointed because one of them was a gift for my son-in-law

    Smooth at a good price
    I'm happy with my purchase!! Action is smooth I don't have a ton of experience with bait casters but of the 3 that I have this one is the smoothest, the other two are abu garcia's. I know there are better combos out there but for the money you can't go wrong here.

    Nothing against the rod itself
    There is nothing against the Combo I was excited to try it out. First the shipping got delayed and came late. Second the way Walmart decided to pack and ship it was ridiculous. The box was about 6 inches short of how long the rod is. They jammed it in there so hard that they snapped the top of the rod off. They jammed it in there so hard they bent the eyes on the rod as well.

    Incredible for the price
    I bought this on a whim after driving by a spot that looked good to fish and not having any gear with me. Walmart was close by so I figured I'd get something cheap to try out the pond. I was amazed at how well this combo works given the price. Great sensitivity, casts extremely well, and very well balanced. Over the past year it's become my favorite rod for 1/2oz spinner baits, lighter jerkbaits and even square bill crankbaits. The brakes and spool control can be a little finicky at times but not enough to be bothersome. Well worth the price.

    Lot of bang for your buck!
    Rather surprised by this combo. Reel casts smooth and long. First fish on this setup was. 3lb large mouth, drag worked it in just fine. Rod sensitivity matches that of some higher end bass rods. Impressed. We’ll see how she holds up after a full season of use.

    Perfect For First Time Casters
    Great combo, recommend for anyone getting into baitcasting reels. Birds nests are gonna come naturally, and this is my first baitcast combo so I had plenty, none I couldn't fix within 5 minutes. Caught 4 largemouth with it so far, had plenty of fun.
