A Disappointment
Was so excited to gift this to my mother but was unable to get past the network connection setup. Used multiple wifi networks, tried restarting everything multiple times and nothing worked. A waste of money. Very disappointed.

    Excellent Buy!
It's a steal. Computer will be miserably slow after removing "S" mode. Just reset/reinstall Windows and its fine. You can also modify the Virtual Memory for better performance. Install Chrome extensions for tracker and pop-up/redirect blocking and you will have a fast, capable machine for years to come for a bargain price.

    Nice Unit, but insufficient literature!
It was a nice laptop, but it would have been nicer if they had provided printed accompanying material in slightly larger print, and also (printed-out) step-by-step startup instructions to be able to pre-read before beginning the process. Providing a (printed) owners manual would, also, be helpful, including information on the procedure for switching out of "Home S Mode" and the consequences of doing so. I purchased this unit for my 80 year old sister, who is not "internet savvy," and she is planning to visit her daughter in the Chicago area to be able to spend some time familiarizing herself with the unit, and probably switching out of "S Mode" so they can download some aps to make it much easier for her to use the unit.

    Don't waste your money
Very slow laptop. I have an old 2012 MacBook that runs faster than this laptop took the first day out of the box. I immediately returned it.

    Couldn't be more pleased!
I'm 35 and primarily purchased this laptop to job search. I couldn't afford much and was afraid of purchasing a laptop that was so inexpensive and ran in s-mode but I couldn't be any happier with this product. First, aesthetically, it's everything you want in a laptop. Light but with a decent size screen (14 inch) and so thin! I expected it to be much bulkier but it honestly reminds me of a Macbook without the backlit keyboard. Fuctionally it's everything you want if you're looking for something to peruse the internet with, pay bills, and write papers on (or create cover letters in my case). It comes with a year of Microsoft 365 which was perfect for me. It feels sturdy but like with all tech- be careful. I think this laptop is great for someone like me who just needs it for functional purposes but likes things to look stylish. It's a great first laptop for a teen or a high school student who knows how to take care of their things. I don't think this is for someone who needs to download a ton of programs or loves gaming- but this laptop also doesn't advertise itself as that either.

Great laptop but not for gaming
The computer itself is great. It is good for everyday use, school, work. The only misleading thing is that it shows gaming option and even comes with 3 months of free gaming pass however the system is too slow to play games. I tried the Stream platform. The game kept on freezing and I was unable to continue playing. This was the main reason why I bought this laptop so I had to return it. If I needed a laptop for any other reason I would definitely keep it
