Excellent DVD players.
This is the third one I have purchased over the last few years. This one has HDMI output and a remote that can control the TV, a very nice addition. I bought this to replace a DVD player that was freezing on recorded DVDs. I thought the DVDs were bad but found they played fine on my LG unit in another room. This has worked fine with those same DVDs. Very happy with all of them and never looked at any other this time.

Not Region Free - False Advertisement
This DVD is NOT region free. It clearly has the region 1 symbol on the back of the player, and will not play other regions. My kids are very disappointed as we have a region 2 dvd set of the Hobbit that they can not watch. We bought this specifically because it said it would play all regions. I've spent the morning researching how to unlock it, and nothing works. Do not recommend.

    super sleak
    this thing is nice. super easy set up. just an HDMI cord to the tv. and plug into the wall. hdmi port in back of dvd player.(hdmi cord was not included, we had one, colored cables included tho) i like how when its off theres no lights on. where most have a red light when off and a different color when on. not this. when it comes on the light blinks red until it loads the dvd. then its a solid red light until you turn it off. the remote has volume buttons for the tv and has 2 power buttons. one for the tv. and one for the dvd player. so all you need is the dvd remote to control the tv and dvd player. which is so cool!! and its so sleak and light weight. its very modern. very much like this dvd player.

    Returned 2 because of sound issue
    I bought this LG DVD player because of the brand name. I returned it within 24 hours as there was a sound issue (intermittent skipping of sound bites), and I bought the same item thinking it was a one-time glitch. The 2nd player was worse, skipping more frequently and missing words and music bits. I called LG for tech support, but they provide minimum-wage support. Today I will return the item and try a different brand name player.

    This works really great. I got everything that I was supposed to get with it. The price is also great. I tried getting this from ebay and I got ripped off because the seller sent me a very used one. But I found it here new and I love it.

    Great inexpensive dvd player for classic TV on dvd
    Very inexpensive DVD player with high performance. As the world moved on to Blu Ray and 4K dvds most of the old TV shows stayed on simple, inexpensive SD dvd disks. LG makes real good electronics and appliances. Feeding a 4k TV in this case an LG top of the line OLED one that upsamples to 4k the results are pretty amazing. I chose the DP132H over the DP132 to get the hdmi connection. There are also standard rca video connectors.

    Great upgrade for me.
    So much better than my last player from a different brand. I like the dvd players over the blu rays for the options. DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc. The A-B repeat function is lightning fast (my old version had a 3 second delay). Slow motion is a breeze--just hit pause, then pause again and again for single frame advancement. The x2-4 zoom feature is easy to use and looks great. There are no on screen menus that remain on the screen when using the functions. The unit is very quiet while running and the remote works from multiple angles (you don't have to point it directly at the dvd base).

    It's a DVD player
    I needed a DVD player that has an HDMI connection. This works great. It plays DVD's. I have the older version and it has lasted a long time. Good product.

    Easy installation.
