Kid friendly, but not just for kids!
I had the JBL GO so I knew the sound would be great, and it was!! The JR POP is fun! It's so easy to use just plug & play .... literally! It charges quickly too. Kids will love this for portability, including a small strap with a strong snap closure good for hanging on your shower rod (it's water resistant) or on their bikes handlebar! They'll also like 'spaceage' power on/off/bluetooth sound. I loved the rainbow light feature. It lights while charging, while playing (lights to beats) & can be disabled with easy button shut off! Though it comes with a sticker pack for customizing, it really isn't just for kids!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A great little speaker, but not quite perfect.
I got this speaker as part of JBL's Backstage Pass program a few days ago and so far I like it. It's small, has good sound, and has some features that are good for kids. The light is kinda cool, and the strap is perfect for hanging the speaker from all sorts of kid's stuff. I haven't measured battery life yet, but I would expect it to be quite good. The only downsides to it that I've noticed so far are the lack of an aux input and the lack of a play/pause button. I play some of my son's audio from my Sansa Clip+ through an aux cable, but that's not possible here. And when I use a bluetooth speaker with my phone, I like to be able to play/pause from the speaker. I don't think either of these matter for a kid's speaker though, so this will do the trick on that end. Overall, quite a nice little speaker for kids, if you can live with a couple small things missing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This speaker is amazing! I play lullabies and my newborn falls asleep within minutes. FYI: exceptional quality sound, adults can definitely use it as well. Thank you JBL for this awesome speaker.

Great sound in a fun, easy-to-use design
I received the JBL Jr. Pop mainly for the kid's room. I was immediately pleased with the aesthetics of the design. Very colorful, and sturdy - meaning, I wouldn't have to worry about it being easily broken by my 4-year-old son. The kids really liked the multi-color phasing of the speaker. Sound quality is great for music and audiobooks. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I would recommend it to someone with our without kids. It certainly stands up to the rough nature of a kid and offers a low price option in an ever growing speaker market. Having good durability and above average sound are the key features in a travel speaker. This speaker tackles all of the above with additional flare. I allowed 7 Days for both myself and Daughter to use this product before leaving this review. I will list the Pros and Cons from both our views to humor you! Adult Pros: Good sound below 75% volume Cool Color housing Lights to music interesting Durable for both Waterproofing/Dropping Good battery life Favorite is the snap strap to hang it on things/ better than clip Kid Pros: "I can use this for bath time?!?" *Drops it 14 times in one day...Keeps on playing "Look at the pretty lights." Adult Cons: Uses Micro Usb instead of USB C Sound over 75% gets very muddy Kid Cons: "its not working" (Battery died/Impatiently waited for it to recharge) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My 10 year old cousin enjoys it!
I got the speaker for my little cousins, whom i live with . I've had it for a month and so far ive seen them use it everyday the younger ones like the lights and the older one (10) likes thats its small but so loud. The sound quality is well over its worth and ive seen them drop it many times in the house and the driveway but still works like new. Overall love this product and highly recommend this for children! Clear sound!!
Was happy with speaker, pretty good sound for its size, nice colors, and weight not to light and not to heavy. There is some issues with connection like when the speaker is connected to one device and another connects to it and automatically pauses the other device and plays with the other device, but other than that it’s a very good speaker for its price and very good for kids. Very Cool Speaker For Kids.
I had this speaker for a few days and my 8 year old is really enjoying it. It's cute design and features make it a great for kids in that age group. It's waterproof design is a big plus, and it's color changing light-up feature is definitely very cool (Which btw can be turned off). Bluetooth connection went effortlessly and I was not expecting a speaker this to get as loud as it does. One small issue I had (which isn't specific to his product) is that when the speaker is underwater the music sounds very distorted, and it will be so even after it's out've the water, until the water drains out and dries up. Other than that there's nothing else I'd complain about. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Awesome portable speaker for the kids!
I got the JBL JR POP for my 7 year old daughter who always loves to use my portable jbl speakers for her music. From the moment she saw the package the was super excited and jumping up and down. We opened it up and powered it on. I saw her eyes light up as the speaker did the same. The light show the speaker provides is a great feature that makes it look amazing for its size and price. The speaker easily paired to any device I tried it with including some IOS devices and Windows devices. The buttons are easy to navigate with no extras that kids don't need. The sound quality and volume is what I have come to expect from JBL and did not disappoint. The sound is clear with adequate low frequencies and easily fills the room. This is exceptional especially considering this is a kids speaker! My daughter loves to use it at bath time and thanks to its waterproofing there is nothing to worry about. The speaker feels solid and durable and easily attaches to things with the built-in strap. As an added bonus the speaker came with various stickers so my daughter could personalize the speaker to her liking. Overall it is a great little speaker and considering my daughters reaction to the speaker it is Great for Kids. Pros: Great sound, Durable, Looks great, Easy for kids to use, Great battery life even with lights on. Cons: None that I have found. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

About perfect for my 5 year old!
This speaker is amazing with a non-significant flaw. My 5 year old daughter loves it, as does her 2 year old brother. Both love listening to audiobooks and their favorite music (of mostly electronic variety, think Clean Bandit) while observing the light show. But I'll focus on my daughter's perspective, for the simple reason is that she can communicate her opinions about the speaker. Packaging: The speaker arrives in a blister pack that easily opens using fingers, sort of like a clamshell to-go container. Inside you can find the user manual, colorful stickers (which seem to be waterproof), and a rather long charging cable. Unfortunately, the USB cable doesn't have the remarkably useful feature of what came with my JBL Flip 4: reversible large plug. The Jr Pop USB is standard =(. Design: My daughter loves the design, and loves the teal and blue colors, as well as the light show. The light show changes patterns depending on whether audio is playing or not. But from the adult perspective, the speaker is also very nicely designed, with subtle use of translucent plastic and carefully selected colors that go well together. The plastic is matte, but hard to touch. An adult can easily open and close the visible strap, but it's not that easy for 5 year old. Usage: Sound is surprisingly decent for such a small children's speaker. Not that you would expect the full depth of bass in One Hundred Hunters by Nigel Stanford, but the whole mid range, including voices (which are important for audiobooks) sounds accurate. The highs are naturally tinny, but I didn't hear anything too bright, or any hissing or high-frequency vibrations, even at near max volume. The promised life of 5 hours seems fair, considering the light show (for kids, the dancing lights are not optional). My daughter loves the speaker so much that she even brings it with her to the bedtime bath. The speaker is fully waterproof (IPX 7) and even floats, but here's the only flaw that I found: when the front grill is wet, it absorbs water or something, and makes horrible rattle, which makes the voices almost impossible to make out. You can forget about hearing any music frequencies (bass or treble). You can fully restore the sound if you shake it vigorously for about 10 seconds, but don't expect submerging it in the water and hearing anything passable as music. Pros: quality sound for the size and intended audience, pleasant light show, waterproof, strap for carrying or attaching Jr Pop to something, decent battery life. Cons: if submerged, needs to be shaken to restore sound, the strap's button can be hard for a pre-schooler to open. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
