Rock Solid hardware for next to nothing.
Sometimes you find a company that gives you *more* than what you pay for, and this is one example. I paid the full price of $30 and still think it was a bargain compared to other competing items. Now that it's down to $20 it's an absolute steal. The keyboard is solidly built with an aluminum chassis that has enough heft to keep it from sliding around if you get a bit... exuberant during gameplay. The plunger style keys offer a very satisfying tactile experience with enough resistance to let you know when you've struck a key. It really does hearken back to the mechanical keyboards of bygone days, and may take a little getting used to by the generation that's only known membrane keyboards. There are 3 different backlight colors and a mode that cycles through them. (You may also forego the backlighting if desired.) The basic layout doesn't include dedicated control buttons for things like volume controls, media playback shortcuts, or browser/mail launch buttons, however those controls are available via function key combinations if you are someone who finds them useful. All in all, if you want a backlit keyboard that isn't a cheap, plastic throwaway, this is the item to put in your cart. At just $20 you cannot go wrong here...

    Great Keyboard for the Price.
I use this keyboard daily. Nice resistance on keys so you don't accidentally hit a key you want. Some of the colors of LEDs are a little dim, however that is good for low light situations so you don't blind yourself. The keys are not completely silent though, but not as loud as a full mechanical keyboard.

Ended up choosing the white on black version
I like it but ended up choosing the white on black version of HVER because when you turn off the led lights you cannot see the key letters. Also the keys are not lighted well in the daytime. At night it is sooo gorgeous. But in the end I chose functionality over beauty.
