Piece of Junk
I really wanted to like this Comal but unfortunately I didn't. It is actually horrible. It is very thin and as soon as I placed it on top of the burner on medium heat it started to bend and move . I decided to proceed and make pancakes. yeah well the cooking was very uneven and burned everything. I definitely won't be using again and do not recommend it.

This comal burned my tortillas on the first time, the fire was on medium-low. The burned side did not come off with a soppy sponge. I really did not want to use Brillo to take it off as I knew it would scratch it. Unfortunately, I had to use Brillo to try to take off more burned sides and it did scratch the comal. The crazy part is that the back side is scratched as well! I used it 6 times since its arrival, I am beyond disappointed.

    Not good at all
I used this comal as soon as I received it and I washed it right away. I decided to use asap for my husbands tortillas and it smelled awful. I decided to wash it again and let it dry and try the next day. Awful. It took 6 washings to lose the smell and then it burned. It just burned and now it's burnt and if I turn it on, it smells burnt: I was able to use it only 2xs to cook any tortillas and it cooked then, the whole house just smelled.

    Affordable, efficient comal
This comal is very affordable. It is thin so it heats up fast. I would not recommend using with high heat as it smokes very fast. I used it to heat up pupusas and grilled steak on it. Did a good char on steak. I was able to clean up comal well. I received comal for free as part of a sample program.

    Easy and works great
This was the first time ever using a pan like this. The heat is evenly distributed which allows me to cook a tortilla without burning it but the cheese melts quickly. I made a quesadilla with some leftover chicken and was incredibly impressed. I also love the non stick feature so I didn't have to use oil or cooking spray. This makes for a healthier meal. I can't wait to try eggs and toasted cheese on this pan! The process was pretty quick too even though the heat was low.

I wanted to love it, but I didn't
I received this product as a free sample. I really loved the premise of this comal. I tend to have trouble flipping quesadillas and grilled cheese and thought this would be perfect. First, the center of this pan gets really hot even when I had it on medium low. The outer rim stays just warm on my glass cooktop. I realized part of the problem is that my burner eye was smaller than the pan, but also because the pan (which was originally flat) became concave as it warmed up so the outer part wasn't even touching the cooktop. Anytime I used the spatula, the comal would spin around and around. All of this resulted in burned quesadillas. Our food didn't stick, but I always use cooking spray even if pans are nonstick. I'll still use it, but warily.

    Great to warm several tortillas
I received this as part of a review program and this is my honest unbiased review. The positive features of this round Comal is that, with 13.5 inches, you can easily warm several tortillas and sandwiches. The bottom side is flat which helps with electric stove heating. The main intend of this comal was to warm items and for that purpose it works great. The down side was that it wasn't very non stick because the eggs stuck it when cooked without oil. It wasn't as smooth as getting it out with cooking oil. Secondly, it is not meant to be used with high heat and additionally, it is not dishwasher safe.

this is absolute garbage. save your money!
I received this IMUSA round 11" carbon steel Comal with metal handles for free in exchange for my honest review. I really hated this thing. I used this pan to make some French toast and I have to say, this is the most useless thing I have ever had the misfortune of using. 1) It slides everywhere. It would not stay over the flame and was sliding all over my stove top, creating a mess. 2) the handles are too hot and so small that it's annoying trying to do anything with a potholder on one hand and a spatula in the other. 3) it's non stick for about one use. There are burn marks and I had my flame on the lowest possible setting. 4) it's also now warped after one use and I will likely be throwing it in the trash unless someone wants to use it for a craft project or something.
