Aquaman, the less popular DC super hero
I received this toy at no cost, in exchange for my honest opinion. My 5 year old son was very excited to get it, however after playing with it for a little while, he quickly lost interest. I think it’s a cool toy, the giant squid moves and extends its legs with the push of a button and the light underneath makes it look like he’s really underwater - a cool effect. It also comes with an Aquaman action figure and harpoon blaster that fits on top of it. There’s a small jail that the squid holds the door on to lock up bad guys. My son just wasn’t that into Aquaman and asked me a couple of times “what else does it do”? We have a ton of Imaginext toys - mostly Batman themed, that he loves playing with and setting up battles. I thought this would be a nice addition for some variety, but it just missed the mark for us. I would however recommend the toy based on its features and function to someone that’s into Aquaman and the bigger band of DC super heroes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    My 7 year old son has a lot of fun playing with this set. He was excited when he opened it up and immediately started playing with it.     Sooooooooo cool!
    This thing is seriously cool. From the moment you see sea creature’s face in the front, you know you’re getting something unique in this set. First... the detailing is superb. The face and tentacles of the sea creature, the rocks, and the palace all have unique textures and painting. That being said, there’s no sacrificing functionality for style because the action features are amazing. A push of the button on the front moves the tentacles and makes the sea creature’s mouth “lunge” forward to grab an ususpecting enemy. Another switch on Aquaman’s throne turns on a “sea blue” light show above the sea creature’s head, giving it a true underwater feel. Outside of that, you’ll get the familiar features (firing weapons, “jail”, etc.) that are present in other playsets. Note that the Aquaman included is more along the lines of the armored long haired movie Aquaman, not the cartoon and comic ‘orange shirt/green pants’ version, so it’s also somewhat unique. This would be a superb addition to any Imaginext world you’re building with your children. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Great new addition to the DC Imaginext play sets
    My son received this play set a week ago and he has enjoyed it so much. He loves that it lights up. I feel the playset could have had more features due to the size of the piece, there wasn’t a lot to do with this set, but my son has a huge imagination so it didn’t matter much to him.     Fun for everyone
    This toy was intended for my 4 year old daughter who doesn’t really enjoy playing with dolls but loves all superheroes. It has some really cool features - lights and sounds which automatically makes almost any toy a hit in our house. This play set is just the right size that her 7 year old brother couldn’t wait to get in on the action and they were each able to play roles.     Fun features!
    This playset has some really cool features. When you place Aquaman at the top and turn him the lights come on. There is a button that makes the squids head and tentacles lunge forward to scare away villains. My kids also love the "jail cell" to lock up their villains. We also love that all Imaginext toys are compatible so you can use other Imaginext figurines with this playset. The gun has 2 bullets one being Auqamans trident that she can use to shoot or hold in his hand. The gun also detaches which is awesome. The only downside is that a set this size would usually come with 2 figurines. A villain would be great but not included. My kids did find other Imaginext toys to use with this playset since they are compatible. Overall, A great set for Justice League and Aquaman fans! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Riveting & Imaginative!
    My two boys love playing with the Aquaman figure, his Trident Shooter, and his Lair, especially moving the octopus! Aquaman has been a hit in the household, and we explained his backstory. I would say there are two shortcomings - especially with two boys. The first, is that there is only one figure - a villain or other foil, would have been helpful for story purposes and also for sharing. The second, is that there is only one shooter (although two places to set it), which again would be helpful in sharing - connected to this is that there is only one shooting trident, which seems inevitable to get lost and a backup or two would have been nice. Overall, my boys love playing with the Imaginext DC Super Friends, and this play set is a great product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Awesome toy
    We received this for free in exchange for our honest review. This toy is “so stinkin’ Cool” my 4 year old boy says! Since we’ve received the box, I have not heard but a few words from him. My 3 year old boy loves that the tentacles move up and down by pressing the big red button and that the toy lights up! We actually went and bought more figurines so they could ply together!     Awesome playset
    My 5 year old son has always like Aquaman. When I saw this playset I knew he would love it since he also has many Imaginext items and he loves to add to his collection. Thanks to Mattel we received a free playset in return for an honest review and I have to say as with all Imaginext toys it is very sturdy and well made. My son loves the feature of the octopus moving it's arms up and down. He was also delighted to see the light come on when above the octopus' head as well. He has a Imaginext Black Manta so he was happy to put him in the jail and he played with the toy off and on for hours. He did tell me his other favorite feature was the staff shooting out at the top of the toy. I would highly recommend this for any Aquaman fan since it is well made and will provide many hours of fun.
