Don't, just don't
Do you want your pool so cloudy you can't use it? Do you want to vacuum up sediment up for weeks? This is for you! I grew up with a pool, have been a CPO for the last 15 years have never had water this bad. I usually buy chemicals from a pool supply store online, but thought I would just use this to get started. Nope. The filters are so caked they are collapsing. This is going to take several more weeks to fix. Might as well have poured flour in the pool.

    Trusted shock treat!
    These are perfect shock treatments. I love that it's single dose and I don't have to worry about measuring. Just dump and go. It's also a perfect price. $5. And the plastic is heavy duty. You can still smell the chlorine slightly but it doesn't seem thru the package. These are my go to shock treatments. I use one a week.

    Something must of changed.

    Sing it. I can see clearly now..the alge is gone.
    Just one thing to say. IT Worked! Above ground pool with about 13k gallons of water. Put bag in while system was running for a few hours. Next day i put in bag 2 and the morning of day 3 it was Clear. All green on walls and bottom were gone. As I said, IT Works!

    The only shock i use it works well.
    Pool stores screwed me over by telling me to dump a whole bunch of CYA in my pool and their shock. Then after a few months my pool had too much CYA and they told me to buy CYA remover. Anyways, after adding and draining and wasting water, i came across this product. It adds chlorine without adding too much CYA. i use this as the only shock and chlorine. It does add calcium to the water but then if its too high you can get flocculant to remove and run the filter for 24 hours.
