Love, love, love this!
Love, love, love this! Our pool used to get green every year during the winter no matter what we did. We would have to have it drained, cleaned, and refilled at the considerable cost of $600.00. At the end of last summer we got this product and our pool has been clean and clear all winter! It is April now and we will not have to do anything to open the pool this summer. Well worth the small price to prevent algae growth. Product causes a mild "suds" in places on top of water in pool when you first put it in but this goes away in a day and then pool clean and great and no sign of any kind of algae. I will nev3r be without this product again.

    Mustard green algae will magically vanish
    Best algae killer I've ever bought. I took a sponge mop wipe down the sides of my pool in the center got all the algae circulating, poured in 4 ounces and within two hours my pool was Crystal Carolina blue once again. I have a 12 x 26 pool oval. In the past we've had a pool that was 18‘ x 32‘ long and had a hard time keeping the algae from the pool. I wish I had of known or how do use this product it is magic folks. I use this product about a month ago and as I said wipe the pool down with a sponge mop And got the pool water moving and I poured 4 ounces into the skimmer basket and as I said within two hours my pool is back to normal. Cannot say enough about this product.

    Do not buy!
    This product did absolutely nothing for killing OR preventing algae. HTH must have changed their formulas because none of their products work anymore!

    Misleading information and poor customer service
    It says Non Foaming and Swim immediately on the label : total misleading. Foam everywhere in my pool and certainly not swimmable . With follow up by email I was advised to just wait a couple of days and buy a defoaming product . For the record: my pool water was just tested and in good order . Very poor customer service and misleading information.

    Works but has drawbacks
    This product does work but has some drawbacks. It's foamy and remains that way when people splash for a few days and it also has a strange smell that lasts for about a week. Make sure you dilute the product first and run your filter for 8 hours to avoid severe cloudiness

    Stay away!
    This product is clearly labeled as non foaming. We used it exactly as the label instructed. While it did get rid of most of the algae, we have been dealing with several inches of foam across the entire pool surface. It looks like a bubble bath. We have tried everything else, so now on to commercial (and costly) defoamers. Do not use this product!!

    DO NOT USE MORE THAN DIRECTED ON THE LABEL! This actually is a good product. When in doubt by gallons in your pool round down. Less is better. Even the slightest bit over your going to end up with bubbles. Don't forget to clean your filters after your pool is clear.

    This stuff seems to work. Our pool is an 18ft.rd.above ground pool.Used is a few times after scrubbing,and vacuuming pool of dirt and leaves at the bottom of pool first. Then shocked with a 1lb.bag of granuled HTH Shock afterwards. Lastly,we added 1.2ozs of this HTH Super Algea Guard 5 in 1. Water is clearing up from the hazy look prior to cleaning and poring into pool water. No sudsing or foaming.and we kept pool pump running entire time for about 4 hrs.

    This stuff works!
    I had brown algae all over my pool. pool guy claimed it was metal and stains, old. stains don't move so I took a chance. I poured this whole bottle all around my pool and tossed some in the middle. When I got home, I could see the bottom of my pool. The waterline was clear and my pool looked 100% better. I'll be getting another bottle soon.
