Easy to use and a great printer
Just bought this for my home office and live it. Super fast and easy to set up. As long as you don't need color this is a great option in my opinion

Disappointed
The printer factory default is set to print on both sides, yes you have options to change it, but it resets back to the default two-sided printing. It maybe that it just doesn't like windows 10 or the Sage software we use to do payroll. Our fist payroll run the printer printed both sides of the check had to void all the checks. The second attempt after changing the setting for some strange reason they all printed upside down and yes, they were in the printer facing the correct way, that run of checks also needed to be voided. The third attempt they printed correctly. The next weeks payroll took three attempts to get them to run correctly meaning more voided checks. Printer works fine on the default when printing one page at a time, but if you print more than a one-page document you need to make sure to take it off its default two-sided printing. No clue of the logic of HP to set the default this way it's the only printer I have ever seen setup this way, as stated it prints fine but way to problematic to use with it constant switching its self-back to the default two-sided printing. Have always used HP printers for many years but put this one on a shelf and bought a Brother printer to replace it, have had no issues with it. Sorry HP but no longer a fan of your printers.

    Good printer
I purchased this for working from home. It's quieter than my office printer and works well. There isn't any display for troubleshooting or getting the status of a print job.

    Very nice printer
This is a really nice printer. Set up was a little tedious and took about 30 minutes. I recommend using the HP Smart App. It makes easy work of printing wirelessly from your phone, IPad, or computer, which is great. This one doesn't have any issues staying connected to WiFi. The toner cartridge came pre-installed. All I had to do was add paper and plug it in. I did initially get an error that the “front door was open”. I presumed the front door was the paper door. I finally opened the toner cartridge door on top and closed it; error went away. Perhaps the door wasn't latched good or was jarred in transit. Haven't had the issue since. Very satisfied with my purchase.

    Laser printer in compact size
I really love how it prints quietly and quickly without all that shaking like inkjet printers. It is small and compact which is essential for a home office. I connected to my phone and work laptop but still can't connect it to my personal laptop which is frustrating. So that is why I gave it 4 stars.

    Quick and efficient printer
I bought this to replace a 3-yo HP LaserJet printer that still works well, but is not Wi-Fi compatible. The new LaserJet prints quickly with a crisp look, and is so handy to use on my laptop from another room. I highly recommend it!.

    Good Value
Works as advertised. I've never been disappointed with HP Laser Jet printers. They're very reliable and laser toner is much cheaper than ink cartridges.

Great Printer-Bad User Guide-Easy to Install
Had this printer for a month+ and it is great. Fast and quality printing. It has lot of advance features that usually found in office printers including a full fledged web interface. You can access it by typing in the ip address in the browser once you configure the printer for your network. However, one of the main improvement this printer needs is an update to its user manual. That is the reason I took one star away. If you read online reviews, many people complaint about difficulties installing this printer. That because the user manual virtually does not help installing this. I am an IT professional and even I had to find a YouTube video on how to install this printer. But once you find what to do it is really simple. I was surprised why the user manual does not mention it all. There are easy 2 ways to configure it to your network. 1. Using the mobile app. In this case you need to install the "HP Smart" app and then connect to the WiFi network of the printer (Yes the printer has it's own WiFi network that you can connect and the app shows you the instructions how to do that). Then the app automatically copies the WiFi Network information found in your phone to the printer. You don't have to do anything else. The printer is now configured to your home WiFi and you don't have to use the printers own WiFi anymore. 2. Using a computer. I was using a Windows PC so I don't know whether it is different for Macs. Go to HP.com and find the support link and then the driver and software download page. After entering the printer model you will find the list of download options. Find the download option called "Driver-Product Installation Software" and under that there should be an option for "HP LaserJet Pro M118dw Printer Full Software Solution" which is much bigger than the normal driver pack (as of this writing the normal driver pack is about 20MB and the HP LaserJet Pro M118dw Printer Full Software Solution is 126 MB). Just download and run it. Don't connect to the printer's wifi if you are doing this. This software is intelligent enough to find the printer's wifi and connect to it and copy your computers WiFi information to the printer. Now the printer is configured to your home wifi. 3. As an additional step I configured my home router to give a fixed IP to the printer all the time (using the MAC address). And then added the printer as a network printer using that IP address in all of my other PCs. You can find how to do that by Googling.

    Simple and efficient.
I bought this printer to reduce my cost on using color inkjet inc. as I'm not printing photography. This saves me time and it's efficient. To my surprise, I did not realize that this is a duplex printer,So that made it so much easier. I like the Wi-Fi capability that was easy to install. I can send items to be printed for my third-floor to my basement where the printer is located. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Outstanding personal laser printer
I've had the printer for about 3 months. First thing to know is that it ships with the toner cartridge installed, ready to use. USB setup was a a breeze. I really like the auto-duplex feature. No more printing one side and then putting the pages back in the paper tray to print the second side and hope there were no miss-feeds. It's fast enough and reliable.
