These bulbs are very cool
Though these are only 35w they put off a bright white light. The LED coil in the bulb looks so cool when lit up it would be a shame to put a shade over them.

The bulbs give a dull, greenish light.
The bulbs came well packaged, are well made, sturdy and operate well. They dim from full power to zero with no issues. They are attractive to look at when they are not lit. You can see the filament and mechanicals on the inside that make them look interesting. But when lit they are dim and green, as if you are in a haunted house. The illustration shows them having the typical reddish filament inside the glass but the actual color has a greenish tint and the filament replica on the inside is greenish White. In addition it only gives about 35 watt equivalent of light so if you have a three bulb room fixture you are only going to get the lighting equivalent of a single 100 W bulb. You can see the greenish tint and Lack of crispness of the light in the two images. If you need green mood lighting these might be for you. But anyone looking for an antique style replica with clear, crisp light should look somewhere else.

    Interesting light.
    I just put the bulb in the other day and it gives off a different light than other bulbs I have used. It is a whiter and lighter look than the bulbs I normally use. I don't have a dimmer switch so I wasn't able to do that but I'm sure it would work well.

    The Vintage Color is gorgeous
    this style bulb is so unique, I watch many home fix up shows and had seen this is the new rage. theres some thing about the gold in them that changes the look of the entire style of a regular bulb. I really love them.

    Very Attractive
    This bulb is unique. The outside looks almost mirror like at certain angles, but at another angle you can see the insides and they are yellow. At full light it's very bright and it can dim to almost a nightlight. Very attractive in my open light fixture. See photo.

    Nice bright bulbs!
    These are really nice bulbs and the daylight color is very bright and white, with no yellow tint which is nice. I love that they are dimmable. Also they have a cool kind of greyish iridescent look on the outside of the bulb instead of being just clear. It doesn't affect the brightness but they look good when the light isn't on

    A nice bulb for a soft, pleasant glow
    The filament inside is different and cute. If you are looking for something fairly bright this would not be the bulb for you. I don't have a dimmer switch so I can't speak to that. Overall a unique bulb, give it a try if you just want a pleasant, soft glow and don't want a real bright bulb.

    Amazing Design
    What is not to like about these great bulbs? They are LED, give a brightness of 100 lumens, yet only 3.5 actual watts are used, last up to 13 years (15,000-hour life) and they are gorgeous! These bulbs are meant to be seen, meant to be shown off. The amazing design inside the bulb gives off a lot of light. They are dimmable and have the usual bulb base for house lamps. When not in use, they have a nice smoky glass color. On the box, it states that they have a yearly energy estimated cost of $0.42 to operate on an average of 3 hours a day. Ever since 'Edison-type' bulbs began showing up on the market, I purchased lamps that would show them off. And now, even more, designs are coming out and I found these lightbulbs to be unique as well as functional and energy saving. As I add more open lamps to my home, I plan on using these bulbs in them because they offer so much more than the standard bulbs, CFL and, halogen bulbs have to offer and they do it with 80% less energy usage. Being dimmable, you can control the amount of brightness when you have a dimmable capable lamp. For the value and beauty, these are outstanding.

    I love vintage bulbs and these are perfect for my needs. The lighting is cool and not too bright and I love that they are dimmable and they screw in just like other light bulbs. This bulb looked great in the lamp in my living room and I would recommend.

    soothing lights
    I have been using these bulbs in my bedside lamps for approx 8 days. the shade of the light is very soothing. The lights are not bright which makes it a plus .these are good for people that want to save on energy usage
