Buy this ! You won't regret it !
I am shocked. I expected this to be slow and like most cheaper computers. This suprised me. It is fast. The picture quality of movies and the screen is the best I've seen. It's comparable to a MacBook as far as picture quality. Movies play fast ! No lag. Easy to type on. The only downside I see is the track pad takes a while to get use to and it's not the most responsive. Get a mouse and that issue is corrected. I also was happy with the color I chose. The pink. So pretty. I was gonna try it out and if I didn't like It take it back. This beauty is staying with me. This is coming from someone who used to build her own computers. So this is worth the money.

Hangs and needs to be reset several times a day
I bought it for work with photo editing and installed almost nothing, I basically use only photoshop and Lightroom and even then the computer freezes and doesn't accept any commands! fruating experience, I believed I was getting a fast and good quality computer, I was wrong!

    2-Finger Scroll Malfunction
    I liked the laptop. It was very lightweight, I loved the color, but a few mintues after setting it up I started to realize there were issues with the touchpad. 2-finger scrolling registered as if you were moving the cursor with 1 finger, and 2-finger taps registered as 1 finger taps. This was very annoying. It would go in and out of working correctly, then going back to malfunctioning. After trying to find solutions for a fix, nothing worked, so I chose to send it back.

    Purchased the laptop for wife in April 2021 to go back to school in Jan. while it was on sale. It had good specs for the money and my wife liked that it was pink .My wife has begun using the laptop in the last month(Jan) for school and it has been nothing but trouble . Randomly shuts down with windows errors no matter what you are doing and even if it is just sitting idol. My wife tried updating to windows 11 but after several tries it flashes errors and shuts down before complete. Its still under warranty so I went to Gateway website for help and clicked on support chat button and it took me to a random Acer page or error page. So as it stands right now my wife is using my computer and I have a very expensive pink BRICK.

    Great computer. But they ship with FedEx!
    I love this computer. It's everything I was looking for. keyboard is nice the fingerprint sensor is awesome. I highly recommend. But when I received it. I seen 2 little tiny breaks in the glass behind the screen. I'm sure it was FedEx. I use to work there and I know how they treat the items. They throw everything. So I'm sure it was them. but what can I do, return it for 2 little cracks? I wish they ship via UPS or USPS. Otherwise the computer is great for the price. Still its new shouldn't have a scratch on it.

    Great Laptop!
    I got the laptop in 2 days..packaged really well...took it out and it was easy to set up!! The graphics are amazing and the laptop is very fast!!! I only have one problem..the speakers arent loud enough...I will be buying external speakers for it eventually !!! Other than that i am happy with it!! I will be getting the green one for my husband eventually of this laptop!!! Love the Rose Gold color!!! :)

    i really like this laptop, it runs really smooth, the screen is very hd. if you have any issues with anything just a simple youtube or google search will help you. i do play roblox and it works the way it should. i don't have any lag and it looks very beautiful. also keep in mind that this laptop is huge. it weighs around 6.6 pounds </3

    I love my laptop,I love the rose gold color And everything,I just wish it was touch screen also and the volume is really low, can barely hear unless its very quiet, other than that, I'm happy!!!!

    Beautiful Laptop. Great Prices
    I have to say I am so excited about this laptop. I received it last week and its so fast and easy to set up. Its 1080p and everything is so crisp and clear. To be completely honest I was a little hesitant at first about it being a Gateway because I wasnt as familiar with the brand but my son (aka computer genius) reassured me it was a good laptop. It has tons of storage and I love the colors. It was the very affordable price that first caught my eye. I hope this helps someone who isnt sure about purchasing this. Believe me its worth it.

    Good laptop for the price!
    I needed a new computer — my previous one was almost ten years old and running an operating system (Windows XP!!!) that isn't even supported by Microsoft any more — but I didn't want to shell out a ton of money because I would primarily use it to play certain games or to watch things I wanted to see on bigger screen than my tablet. I'll be honest: I was initially drawn to this because it on sale, it was slim and lightweight, and it came in different, fun colors beyond silver and black (I got the rose gold). But reading the other reviews, along with the listed specifications, and the holiday sale price ($449), convinced me to give it a shot. I'm glad I did. This is an excellent laptop for that price if the primary things you use it for are browsing the Internet or playing certain online games (like Among Us or Cluedo). It's very fast and it loads web pages with ease, even web pages that are loaded down with a lot of coding. It was incredibly easy to set up; basically “plug and play” and then you get prompted at each step of the set-up process. Minor warning: from what I can tell, you will need to either have a Microsoft account already, or be willing to set one up, as the very first step in setting up everything else. It wasn't an issue for me because I already had a Microsoft account, but just be prepared for that. Also, it defaults to Microsoft Edge as the web browser and even if you download something else, like Chrome or Firefox, the first few times you access the Internet, it pesters you about switching to Edge as the browser. The camera is very clear when doing video chats; I haven't tried to take a picture with it yet, so I can't vouch for the quality there. The laptop comes loaded with Norton anti-virus software and so far, that has worked well, including warning me away from dodgy websites. The speakers could be louder; even at 100%, I can imagine that if you are someone who is Deaf/HoH, you might need to augment the speakers with an external set for added/more volume. Overall, for the sale price of $449, this laptop is a good purchase. It would be a great choice, I think, for a student or as someone's first laptop.

    Overall a nice laptop
    The color was great and lovely but the battery can only last for 5-6 hours with light websites browsing. The speed was fast and the fans were intermittently making sound. Not sure if this is normal while the screen is on.
