Great work laptop! PC over 16GB and non glitches!
Soo in love with this laptop not only is it under $500 most pc laptops only offer 14in screen this is over 15in and extremely thin and light weight. So happy and I use remote log in and it works wonders. If you happen to need to use a Ethernet cord to get connected for work, I just bout a usb Ethernet cord adapter and turned the wifi off and it works perfect :) your welcome!

THX is definitely not a good sound system
THX is supposed to be the new state of the art sound for these new computers. But even when I have the volume maxed out i can hear my husband's phone better even when he's in a completely different room. i was so excited about getting this laptop and now I'm just extremely disappointed. I'm still debating if I should return it.

    Not Happy
It was packaged poorly, banging around in a larger box with no packing. It was bought as a christmas present, speakers were making a ticking sound at first, after a week speakers stopped working all together. Now the Walmart website says there are none available for exchange. I Paid $299. When I do a search walmart is now selling it for $429. So I can be refunded my money and then repurchase it for $429?

    Walmart junk. Never used. Defective.
I bought a laptop computer for my girlfriend for Christmas from Walmart on 10/19/2021. She plugged in the computer on 1/2/2022 to start charging it and setting it up. There is a big black line going down part of the screen and everything to the left of the line is blank. Walmart will not let me replace or refund me on the computer.

    Great laptop, with some tradeoffs
You're not going to find many laptops with four cores, 8 GB RAM, 256GB hard drive, and a 1080P screen for $349. That being said, there are a few trade-offs. The keyboard is not as smooth as an HP keyboard, and the right-shift key is half the size that it should be. On the HP keyboards, the up and down arrows are half-sized keys that fit in the same space. On this keyboard, the up arrow is next to the right-shift key, so they reduced the size of the right shift key. It's a bit annoying, but I've gotten used to it. In general, the keyboard is not as smooth to type on as an HP keyboard, but it's still a decent keyboard. The touchpad is not quite as sensitive as an HP touchpad. It's another small annoyance, but I'm also getting used to it. The laptop boots up very quickly, as one would expect from an SSD. The screen is a good size, the text is crisp and clear (I use the recommended settings 1920x1080, with 125% scaling), and the colors are bright. The THX sound is good, but not very loud (but at least you won't have to worry about blowing out the speakers). A good headset is going to sound better. I've run a few games on it, and the graphics are very good, especially for a non-gaming laptop. It can get hot. If you're going to be running games, you might want to put a chill pad underneath. I'd recommend that for any laptop. I've also installed Visual Studio, VS Code, SQL Server, SQL Server Management Tools, and Docker. Everything starts up quickly and compiles quickly. Bottom line - you're not going to find another laptop with these specs in this price range. Laptops with these specs typically run $500-$800. If you're willing to live with a few minor annoyances, it's a great laptop.

Great laptop in a very flimsy package.
This laptop works fine but it is constructed of very thin and weak plastic even though it does not appear cheap. My unit was bought in July 2021 and has developed a crack in the cover near the hinge. It has never been dropped and has remained on a desk since delivered. I am trying to get warranty service from Walmart but that has not been easy.

    Very disappointed
The keyboard does not work. When you type in certain letters then two letters or symbols appear (ex. type a then .a appears). Discovered after initial set up after all account info was entered. Not returning it because hackers can still retrieve information. Been scammed too many times. Tried to contact Gateway, getting no response or help.

    Mostly great
Specs on this computer are fantastic for the price. It's snappy, and from a performance perspective, I'm very pleased. Screen is better than I expected. Build quality of the laptop, keyboard, and track pad feel a little cheap, but I suppose there had to be a trade off to hit this price point. The webcam is not great. All things considered, I expected this from the reviews, and if this trade-off is acceptable for you, this is a great laptop with amazing value for what's under the hood.

    Crashed after 25 days
This laptop is a joke. It crashed on me 25 days after purchasing it. And the gateway number that's on their website is a scam. I had to cancel my card because they wanted a $4.95 processing fee to do a warranty claim. I got a spam email talking about they're charging me different prices. Called back they hung up on me several times. I had to go through my protection plan to get a new one and I have to want until September 1 to get my replacement. If you do get this laptop pay the $50 to get the protection plan. I got this laptop just for school and I lost all of my files and I wasn't about to turn in my work.

    Great budget laptop
I've always purchased budget laptop's and I have to say that in the short time using this one I believe it's the best one I've had. It's fast and light, this is my first laptop with an SSD so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. I don't like reviewing items like this until I've used it for a significant length of time but in the short time using this I'm very impressed.
