I had to order this computer online as I needed a new one for work. There were none in the store so I was forced order. It was brand new and from the minute I started getting it set up it kept shutting itself off! Walmart needs to do better at ensuring their products, especially electronics, are at a high quality and will actually work if they are going to sell them!

    Boot-Up Issues
    There's a known issue with this laptop where, due to pressure before it gets to the consumer, sometimes it will break and not be able to startup. This happened to me- which would be fine, sometimes things like this happen. Gateway support did not answer the phone- the actually said all agents were busy and then hung up on me instead of allowing me to wait on an available agent. Their email support took 10 days to get back to me, and by that point i had already taken it to my college IT department to troubleshoot it. They advised me to return it, which I did. I was also advised- after having bought the laptop- by my friends that Gateway is notorious for having issues, and that I was better off getting HP (which was advise I followed after returning). I never got to see the interface of the computer. It looked super sleek on the outside though, I guess, and the storage is great for the price. The email support, once they finally got to me, was nice enough.

    do not buy this! complete waste of money!
    Worst purchase I made in years. This was a headache since day one. Was given a false delivery date which followed by no updates even after passing the original date by a month. I couldn't even cancel my order while it was "delayed". Finally after it showed up I charged it for a whole day just for it to not even work after downloading and installing all the updates. This is the cheapest laptop I have ever used and not even worth $50.

    Okay, wish it was lighter.
    I was going to return this because it was a lot bigger and heavier than I thought it was going to be. I decided to keep it. I think it's kind of slow for a brand new laptop but everything seems to work just fine so far. I haven't used it very much yet.

    Mine has worked fine for two weeks!
    The screen and speakers are great. I have no problem streaming and outputting 4K video to my TV. Windows 11 is reasonable and the upgrade was easy. The product description lied about the WiFi capabilities, which is annoying, but I don't notice due to my slower (100 mbps) Internet connection. I watched a video review online that said there is no internal fan and the CPU can reach its heat threshold (and slow down) during various activites such as Minecraft gaming. I have yet to do anything CPU intensive.

    BIGGEST MISTAKE
    Worst purchase ever made!! I purchased this computer for my daughter for Christmas, she hasn't even been able to use it. It will not connect to the Wi-Fi. Keeps coming up with an error message that says THERE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVER FOR THE WI-FI ADAPTOR! Complete junk.

    OK for price,if you have lots of time to upgrade
    The gateway is not bad being it is the cheapest new windows laptop for black friday($179).It boots quickly,however it has no cooling fan and comes with win 10s which is unusable for programs other than microsoft store.IMPORTANT! If you are not willing to reinstall actual win10 home or pro,and deal with missing sound or drivers,which couldnt be found at gateway,acer,intel,realtek,etc and with no support at gateway(auto reply,no help).You must be willing to install and reinstall every MS update known to man over 2 weeks.Some wifi and sound drivers can't be found if you want to try UBUNTU. NOT RECOMMENDED unless you are a patient techie.Hopefully it will last longer than 2 years(my lenovo mobo burned 2X).

    SUCH A HASSLE!
    WARNING! I bought this brand new on black Friday. The 1st time I tried to boot it up from unboxing it is faulty. Won't stay on for more than 15 seconds before shorting out and shutting down. Very frustrated this purchase and the hoops I'm now having to go too.

    Don't buy ! Save your money
    Second day of use and the camera stopped working. No reason behind it . Just stopped . I updated the driver did all the possible and still nothing . Back to the store it goes. I got a dud. Don't take the risk of buying a cheap machine . Save your money
