Don't buy ! Save your money
Second day of use and the camera stopped working. No reason behind it . Just stopped . I updated the driver did all the possible and still nothing . Back to the store it goes. I got a dud. Don't take the risk of buying a cheap machine . Save your money

    do not buy this! complete waste of money!
    Worst purchase I made in years. This was a headache since day one. Was given a false delivery date which followed by no updates even after passing the original date by a month. I couldn't even cancel my order while it was "delayed". Finally after it showed up I charged it for a whole day just for it to not even work after downloading and installing all the updates. This is the cheapest laptop I have ever used and not even worth $50.

    Okay, wish it was lighter.
    I was going to return this because it was a lot bigger and heavier than I thought it was going to be. I decided to keep it. I think it's kind of slow for a brand new laptop but everything seems to work just fine so far. I haven't used it very much yet.

    Mine has worked fine for two weeks!
    The screen and speakers are great. I have no problem streaming and outputting 4K video to my TV. Windows 11 is reasonable and the upgrade was easy. The product description lied about the WiFi capabilities, which is annoying, but I don't notice due to my slower (100 mbps) Internet connection. I watched a video review online that said there is no internal fan and the CPU can reach its heat threshold (and slow down) during various activites such as Minecraft gaming. I have yet to do anything CPU intensive.

    BIGGEST MISTAKE
    Worst purchase ever made!! I purchased this computer for my daughter for Christmas, she hasn't even been able to use it. It will not connect to the Wi-Fi. Keeps coming up with an error message that says THERE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVER FOR THE WI-FI ADAPTOR! Complete junk.

    OK for price,if you have lots of time to upgrade
    The gateway is not bad being it is the cheapest new windows laptop for black friday($179).It boots quickly,however it has no cooling fan and comes with win 10s which is unusable for programs other than microsoft store.IMPORTANT! If you are not willing to reinstall actual win10 home or pro,and deal with missing sound or drivers,which couldnt be found at gateway,acer,intel,realtek,etc and with no support at gateway(auto reply,no help).You must be willing to install and reinstall every MS update known to man over 2 weeks.Some wifi and sound drivers can't be found if you want to try UBUNTU. NOT RECOMMENDED unless you are a patient techie.Hopefully it will last longer than 2 years(my lenovo mobo burned 2X).

    SUCH A HASSLE!
    WARNING! I bought this brand new on black Friday. The 1st time I tried to boot it up from unboxing it is faulty. Won't stay on for more than 15 seconds before shorting out and shutting down. Very frustrated this purchase and the hoops I'm now having to go too.

    Gateway SUCKS almost AS BAD AS Microsoft!!!
    Windows 10 REFUSED to ALLOW me to upload "Chrome"!!! I am REQUIRED to use the "CHROME" Search Engine for my online JOB, and was THWARTED bu Microsoft Windows, FORCIBLE EMBEDED on MY computer!!! It took me 2 DAYS to get this problem RESOLVED, partly BECAUSE of the CRAPPY Online assistance from Gateway!!! Those FAILURES at Gateway were NO HELP in servicing THEIR OWN product!!! Gateway SUCKS almost as BAD as Microsoft!!!
