In the winter I brought a stove like fireplace heater that I loved that kept me warm on those cold days. When the summer came in it was extremely hot so I started looking into a portable AC because my windows are too big for the regular AC units. I was scrolling Walmart and came across this beaut. It had great reviews and it was on sale so I took a chance and brought it and I'm glad I did. Now I'm out there even when I'm not working watching TV or just relaxing. It's so nice and cold and I have to use a throw sometimes and that's just on low. Now I'm looking for a nice pullout because I can take naps out here.Chere48

The instructions were not very clear. The hose is super long and falls off if extended because it bends in the middle( had to tape it on). It does cool pretty well (it's in a 12x15 bedroom). The dehumidifier works, but I had to drain it within 1/2 hour. The bottom drain is ridiculous. It's at the very bottom and You can't fit anything underneath to drain. There is a top drain but there was no hose supplied to run it into a bucket or container. I'm keeping it because it is too heavy for me to return.Alberta

Cools our 10'x23' room very well. My verticle sliding window is 60" tall and the unit comes with only 48" of exhaust barrier, but also two shorter pieces enabled me to make it work, with some extra effort and engineering. The only surprise is that the exhaust hose is quite large, 6". I'm satisfied with the operation so far. I did buy the four year extension warranty as well. I've shopped a good bit for this size and style of AC unit and this is the best price I could find.GrayWolfDunn

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/25/2021PROS AND CONS / Buyer BewareBe very careful with this poor design. The water drain is on the very bottom near the floor. It is only a rubber push in plug so if you have carpet it will literally touch the floor and pullout when moved. You can in noway get a pan lower than drain level. The whole bottom touches the carpet after the wheels sink in. The window vent is not designed any better. Unless you want to put screw holes in your window stay away from this. I had to improvise to install it and it leaves the wood bottom of the window sill exposed to the outside rain so could fill with water. I used tap to block the space. I put a block of wood under the vent on the window sill to take the hose pressure off because of a gap between the panel. I will need to get something to put under it so it sets up higher flat like a hard floor. It blows nice cold air and I have not used it for a full day yet. The more I write this I would not repurchase it for my install. They should explain about bottom drainand carpet issues, plus screws in the window. You will get water on the floor every time you need to drain it or will need to pick up 50 pounds high enough to drain it. Make sure you get one that has the drain up higher and the plug threads on. Remember it will have to be 20" minimum from the wall and it is 14 inches wide so will be about 3 feet out into the room. The unit is not loud at all so far and the blue power lite stays on so you have one more night lite(why do the all do this). Just be very careful in what you purchase. If you have a flat hard floor and a lot of space you would probably be happy for sure. You will just need a 2 quart flat pan to drain the water. Wish I could say it was all great because it is a quality made unit. The design is the sad part, whoever approved it was just thinking sales not ease of application in using it.Bruce
