A beautiful addition to our home
I bought this lamp a few years ago for a loft-style apartment and love it. Unfortunately I broke it in our move to a house we purchased. I’ll be buying another. I would only caution that it can be a bit bright out of the box so one should probably consider purchasing a dimmer switch to tame it a bit.

High "Wow!" factor
We have this lamp in a reading area close to a chimney left over from when our 1905 farmhouse was heated by pot-belly stoves. The effect against the faded old bricks is perfect. The bulb supplied is a retro "Edison" type, which I love. The only thing I wasn't wild about (thus 4 rather than 5 stars) is that although the lamp is supposed to be dimmable, I didn't find any way to make that happen. I had to buy a $17 lamp dimmer that plugs into the wall, then the lamp plus into that; a small white control sits unobtrusively on a nearby shelf. This allows me to adjust the brightness of the lamp from a soft amber light perfect for reading all the way up to 100% intensity, which I found glaringly bright. The lamp is substantial, very heavy and has a nice matte finish that looks rich. I put it together myself but it would have gone more smoothly with a helper.

    Nice lamp!
    Love this lamp! Exactly what we wanted. Better thx. Picture! Would have given it a 5 star rating, but the bulb that came with only lasted a day… after that it would blink on & off. Luckily it was only the bulb. So we did have to go and purchase a new “old fashioned” bulb.

    Combination of excellent light and attractive design
    Very satisfied with my lamp, was easy to assemble and provides good light for reading. Attractive addition to my living room and love the rustic look.

    Enjoying our lamps
    We had two inexpensive pharmacy lamps that we replaced with these. Huge improvement! Nice quality, nice light. They make our room cozy.
