Read the directions
Many people said it came with a battery reading of low. READ THE DIRECTIONS! The "lo" did not refer to the battery. It said if the battery was low a "symbol" would be displayed. "Lo" means the measured temperature is below 90 degrees!!!! Mine is working fine so far.

    Broken out of Box
    Was glad to find a digital thermometer that I used back in the 1980's when my kids ran a fever. Thrilled about the price. Picked it up from store, got it home and it did all the things but it didn't beep before or after use and it wouldn't register temperature. I know it wasn't the battery as it was showing temp on display. So now it's back to the drawing board to find a better one.

    I purchased the thermometer because my fiance was sick and my thermometer wasnt working properly. I took it home and tried it out. The first reading said 109.9, the 2nd said 98.7, I wish they would make thermometers like they use to.

    This works great. This is a simple thermometer that does its job perfectly. I have never seen a thermometer this cheap, yet this good!!! I would definitely recommend this!

    Good,simple, basic digital T-stat..
    Simple,Cheap. Does the job. Only thing I would like to see. Is a more common place avail type battery used. Like AAA,or AA.. Not the LR44 that is used.

    both are not accurate, read lower
    makes one wonder how this meter has such a high rating when they are so inaccurate for both i bought read lower than they should and constantly read me being in the low 96 range even when the established thermometer sick hub with is using read me being 99.4-99.6 both times this AM!! seems this meter here read on average 1-2 full points lower for my normal temp readings are 97.6 when am not sick.. also there is NO lighted display on this meter, not flexible and it takes longer than the 30 seconds at times for it to read your temp…

    This thermometer is awful! I've had it for a full day! Took my temp and it said 105.8 which dident seem accurate. And now it's just saying err. Would not recommend!

    Wonderful in so many ways. Nice case, easy to use, took accurate temp, good instructions (even listed temp range depending on how u use it...orally, etc). Can use either Fahrenheit or Celsius (unlike the one i got elsewhere that is ONLY Celsius).
