I really love this one. I have the 7 day pill planner and its not enough. With this one, I can fill it up for a longer period of time. Don't have to do it weekly like my other one. I would definitely recommend this for folks who are taking pills on a daily basis.

Poor Materials and Design Flaws this Pill Planner
Equate 4-a-day Pill Planner Large has some pluses, but is not the solution for me. Things I like about this pill planner: (1) individual pill containers are large enough to hold many vitamins, supplements, and medications – I filled mine with 8; (2) the colors are vibrant making it easier to identify the correct day/time in dim light or if you don't have your glasses handy. The Equate 4-a-day Pill Planner Large arrived broken (see the Empty pic) even though there did not appear any damage to the shipping package. Part of the reason for the breakage is the type of plastic used to make this pill planner – apparently a type of polystyrene like that used for model airplanes. That is, this pill planner is too easily breakable and will not stand up to day-o-day use. Also, the container tops do not pop up when the tabs are pressed – you must also pry them open. I have used many pill planners, including the large 4-day type and the Equate 4-a-day Pill Planner is among the worst. I do not recommend it.

    Extra large pill box
    I needed a new pill organizer and thought this one was similar to the one I've been using. I didn't realize that it's not flat (I ordered it online). The individual boxes have arched tops, I suppose they thought this was a good idea - I disagree. The boxes don't pop open when you press the button, you have to help it to open. I'll keep it but won't buy it again.

    I received this large plastic Equate 4-A-Day weekly pill planner damaged. It was sent wrapped only in a thin plastic package, with absolutely no cushioning material for protection. One corner lid locking piece was broken, so the lid holding the pill or pills in that specific individual pill box, could not be secured from falling out all over the floor, if not handled with extraordinary care due to the damaged locking mechanism. If I could, I would return this item for replacement or a refund. As is, it is not worth using as a pill planner. If this was received undamaged, it would have been a good pill planner. Despite receiving mine broken, it does feel solid. Its large individual pill box size definitely makes it valuable and user friendly, because each individual pill box can hold a substantial amount of medication, vitamins, supplements, or a combination of any. The large pill box also makes it unlikely that your pills will get stuck or damaged from over stuffing. The large size also makes it easier to scoop your pills out with your fingers, instead of flipping the entire pill planner upside-down. The four different colors for four different times of the day are excellent to help quickly identify which pills you need to take for the different times of the day. The ability to lock and secure your pills are extremely important to anyone, including myself, who have spilled our medications and vitamins all over the place and then had to reorganize the pill puzzle.

    Large daily sections
    The pill organizer is a good quality plastic. The individual daily compartments are large. In the photo I put a quarter in one space so you can get a sense of the size. The daily sections do lock closed securely. When you press the tab to open them, it opens a little bit, they are not spring loaded so you still need to do it with your fingers. The only part I found awkward is the way the middle section is. I would have prefer to have all the tabs facing forward. But overall all it serves the purpose.

    Strong Fingers Needed
    The reason I gave it a 2 was because anyone that does not have strength in their fingers will have trouble opening the covers. The openers aren't free moving, in that they are attached to the 'bar' framework. I'm not a wimp but I had trouble opening the outer ones and couldn't open the ones in the center. They hold lots of pills and the colors are pretty but for me, I can't use it and I wish I could..The pill cups are a perfect size to hold all my supplements and meds at the same time. If I were a lot younger, it might have worked. One really great thing about it is, it's child friendly. Young ones won't be able to open the containers.

    Well-built weekly pill organizer
    This weekly pill organizer is well-built; very sturdy and solidly built! Measuring 8.5 inches x 8.75 inches wide. Visually, it looks great with four different high-vis colors. The containers are very large so even large tablets/pills can fit into each one. Each container has a white press-down tab that requires moderate thumb pressure to push the tab down to unlock the top of the case. (I have moderate hand arthritis and I had to exert a bit of pressure to push the tabs down to unlock the cases.) But I like that there's a positive click when closing each pill case; very secure so in the event you drop it, the cases shouldn't open. With the bright colors on the organizer, it's very visible and easy to locate. With four groupings (mornings, noon, evenings, and bedtime, it's very convenient to divide your daily meds. Very convenient for travel; doesn't take up much space in a tote bag, briefcase, or carry-on.

    One major design flaw…
    This is a great idea. My husband has to take about 20 pills throughout the day. This helps keep it organized and also helps him know what he has already taken. Biggest issue is that the compartments are not sloped. Since they are not sloped it is hard to get the pill out. Trying to pull it out with your finger, the pill gets caught on the corners instead of sliding up a sloped side. So we will not be able to use this because of this issue.

    Now that's what I'm talking about!!
    Four weeks of my daily pills instead of one week at a time!! Heck yeah!! I love this container. Spacious compartments, large enough to hold my morning and evening dosages and nice little tabs to pop the compartments open. I'm more excited for this pill container than any potential Christmas presents! Seriously, if you're like me and have multiple medication or even vitamins this is a great holder and I recommend it 100%.

    Finally! - Absolutely! - Fantastic!
    This is the BEST pill planner I have ever used and I have many others that are inadequate. For starters, it is easy to see and read the days of the week. Very large font/capital letters for the days of the week. I'm nearsighted and farsighted. You senior citizens know what I am talking about. I can actually read the days without my readers and without glasses period! The next great aspect of this Equate pill planner is the 4 separate compartments per every day of the week....Morning, Noon, Evening, Bedtime. That's wonderful for me because some days I do take pills four times a day. There are also pills I only take every other day. It can get really confusing quickly without a pill planner. Equate pill planner is not only making my life easier, it's allowing me to safely control my prescriptions. In addition, because it is a weekly pill planner, I don't get too far ahead of myself (doctors some times change meds) and not having to go back thru them remove pills no longer needed. Not only is this pill planner brightly colored, it is very easy to open each and every compartment. Barley push down on the white tab and open and just as easy to snap closed. Great for arthritic hands, essential tremors, and other hand issues. Finally each compartment is deep and roomy. Very adequate for large vitamins and/or many pills. I guess you can tell, I am thrilled with it. :)

    Excellent medication organizer!
    Sad to say but I am a chronic Lyme disease patient. I'm currently in remission; however, I will be taking supplements and prescription medications which treat the effects of the disease for the remainder of my life. I take approximately 35-40 pills daily. I need a great organizer! I've tried two other products but both had factors that led me to search for a better one. This organizer is by far the best I've tried. I will look no further. This organizer is lightweight, colorful, and well marked for days of week as well as time of day (morning, afternoon, etc.). The medication slots hold quite a few pills and are opened easily by pushing down a small tab. Additionally, the colorful strips which are the opening and closing lids are removable as one entire strip. This makes filling the slots so much easier. I've been using mine for about a month so far and have no complaints. Hoping the plastic hinge, which enables the covers to open and close, will be durable. I highly recommend this medication organizer!
