Great product once you get it installed
No idea why BUT this gate was so difficult to install. I should have known when it came with instructions and an instructional DVD!! My husband finally had to man handle it. Once it was actually in place.... It works!!!! I live it. The black doesn't show smudges. The gate is easy to open by just pulling up on the whole gate door and them either way you open it it closes by itself. Not too fast and not too slow. It's pretty perfect. The gate does exactly what I purchased it for. Love it!!'

Purchased this for the dogs to keep them confined while we are at work. For the price, it's a good gate. Easy to install. Looks good for what it is. It does get annoying that it closes behind you every time. So we are installing a latch to keep it open when not in use. I hated that it came with large white stickers at the bottom of each side of it. They were a pain to get off.

    It's what we needed
    We use this at the bottom of the steps to keep our large dog from going up without us. It's easy to open and close, it looks nice, and it is safe.

    Hands down the best gate! Very sturdy and honestly no need to screw into the wall, the grip is fantastic! My 1 year old is pretty strong and has yet to damage it lol

    The gates great, super sturdy, doesn't feel like cheap metal like the others do, and I love how it closes behind me. Here's what I hate- my son literally throws his leg right over the thing, and lifts himself up on over it like he's the freakin hulk. WAY TOO LOW for a toddler. My son just turned two this month. WHAT IS THE POINT OF A SAFETY GATE IF THE "Safety gate" 's main purpose is to stand there and look pretty? 1-10 on appearance- I'll give it a 10 all day. 1-10 on safety- I give it a 3 and that's only if it's being used for an infant, not a a growing 2 year old boy that loves to challenge safety precautions! Do better safety patrol, DO BETTER!

    I love that the gate has an 180 degree opening.
    My first gate purchased was another brand and the door only opened one way. That got old quickly. I searched for a door that opened in both directions and I am happy with my finding.

    Great gate
    Love the automatic close function and that it is also easy to prop open! Took me a minute to get used to pulling it up to open but once you get the hang of it, it's very easy!

    Stands Up Well to Heavy Traffic
    We've had our gate up at the top of our basement steps for almost 3 years. It had just the right measurements to fit under the awkward space beneath the handrail. Assembly and installation was easy. We were able to get a good tight fit using the pressure mounting without having to put screws into the wall. We haven't taken the gate down in the time we've had it, just check occasionally to be sure it is still nice an tight. We use the gate lots and it has withstood a 4 and 1.5 year old pulling on it without it moving, also great for keeping our dogs out of our lower level. Door will swing back and click locked on it's own which is a great safety feature. To unlock the gate you need only one hand but so far it has been proved child proof for our 4 year old who is typically pretty good about figuring things out. Would not hesitate to buy this gate again for the convenience and safety it has provided.

    Great Gate
    This gate was very easy to install, I did it in under 30 minutes with very little effort. I do recommend reading the directions and watching the video first, but the actual installation was very easy. Would recommend this gate for anyone who wants to limit pet or baby areas. Great gate!
