So helpful!
So I have scoliosis that comes with a variety of neck and back issues. I have tried just about everything you can think of to help. I am happy to add this Athletic Works Epp foam roller to my little collection of pain relief tools here! It is an amazing addition to my tennis balls, spikey ball, and hand massager. It helps me relieve tension from much larger areas at a time, and works very well. It took a little while to get the hang of it, but after watching a few videos, I was well on my way to rolling out tension and knots in my back! It's a nice density, has only the tiniest amount of give, and is slightly textured so you don't completely slide off while you are trying to use it. The 13 in inch is perfect size to use for mid, upper, and even lower back rolling. It's also great for leg and hip massage! I have been using it most everyday since getting it! Not only just when I am hurting but as an extra step in my daily physical therapy to keep myself in good shape!

Still trying to decide if I like the size of the roller but it works for the knee strengthening exercises I'm doing.

    Helps with aches and pains
This is a good foam roller. It is very lightweight but holds up with despite a lot of weight being put on it. It takes some practice on how to use this but once you figure it out it really helps. This foam roller is a decent size and stores easily due to it being lightweight. I recently sneezed wrong and popped out a rib and my chiropractor recommended foam rolling if it ever happens again. Well last week it did so I used this foam roller pushed up on my couch and was able to pop my rib back in myself without having to wait to see the chiropractor. For the price this is definitely a deal to help stretch out sore muscles and help you feel better. A another plus is that it can easily be wiped clean with no trouble. I would definitely recommend this to someone weather they work out or just suffer from stiffness.

    Worth it!
This is a great quality foam roller. It is also a high-density foam roller, which is especially good when you're using it as a messaging tool. I am overweight and need something a bit more sturdy than usual and this does the trick. This is a great tool not only for messaging, but also for before or after exercising and during yoga practices. If you were having difficulties with muscle tension, this would be the thing to buy. It makes all the difference. This foam roller also has an appealing design. It is black with blue speckled dots on it. It is made of polypropylene foam, which helps it retain its firmness, even after using it for a long time. It also helps repel liquids, which helps fight that mildew like buildup that some equipment can get. It also makes it easy to clean. I simply just wipe it off with a cleansing wipe. This foam roller is also a good size regarding its length. Given its size, you won't have to worry about it coming out from under you as you are using it. All in all, this is a great foam roller that would be a good addition to your workout and/or messaging equipment.

    Very hard, but worked!
I haven't done any yoga in years and never used one of these rollers. I had to look up some videos and tried do some of exercises. OUCH! They really hurt and I thought the roller was way too hard! I set it aside and wondered if I'd ever use it again. Later that evening I had cramping in one of my calves. I rolled my calf on the roller a few times and wow, the cramp went away right away! I did this while sitting in my recliner. I think for stretching exercises I'd prefer one that was considerably softer, but for alleviating cramps I don't think a softer one would work. It is very hard and seems like styrofoam (see closeup photo), there is little to no give. Just seemed too hard to put your entire body weight on it, but rolling one leg or arm does seem to work while sitting. Was way too hard on my back or thigh when placing my entire body weight on it. Not being a yoga expert, I can only assume it's a case of using the right tool for the right job. For stretching you want something softer. For cramps and muscles aches this is the tool.

Solid back roller but may be too big for some
This back massage roller is quite hard and has a large diameter. It is somewhat too big for me. It actually hurts when I try to use it. However, my husband who is 6'1" likes it. He says it really helps to stretch and massage his aching back. So it must be great for tall individuals. I like the blue and black foam color and length.

    Awesome roller!
This is a really great roller for stretching out muscles and tense spots in your body especially legs and back. You can also wipe it off or clean it very easily. I would recommend it to anybody that likes to work out and stretch.

Works good for stretching and post workout
This foam roller is good to use to stretch before working out and you can also use it after a work out to help prevent muscle soreness. I like to walk a lot so my calves get sore a lot. I use this roller to stretch my calves before and after walking. This roller is really dense, it's not a soft roller. I think it's a great value for the price. There are a lot of different exercises for different parts of your body. You can find instructional videos on the internet to show you how to properly use it.
